I try to talk about my sister positively. Hopefully.
Kyan strayed, slowing down as they'd cut through the forest. She slowed to a point, sticking to the back of the group. She couldn't help but think about her litter-mate.
Zeck and I were pups when our mother left us. With time, a human found us, raised us. She trained us in a K-9 unit.
I was like a mother to Zeck, being the older sibling.
I don't remember much from before; Most memories of mine are faint. I ignore a lot of them. I don't want to remember.
I do remember how I mutated wings and horns, though. I was separated from my human and Zeck when the outbreak began, when I mutated that night. Under the moonlight.
I was a loner until I met Merli and Tez, the both of them bringing me to a small pack of canines. We peacefully parted ways with the pack. I decided that life wasn't for me - Merli and Tez came along, the idiots they are, just because I left. I was Omega for awhile. And, I had no other friends, really. All of my packmates annoyed the hell out of me anyway, what was the point?
Eventually, I wandered off from Merli and Tez while they were sleeping. They didn't really need me, I thought at the time.
That's when I joined another pack, where I was Alpha.
It didn't work out.
Merli and Tez found me after.
Kyan brushed it off, thinking to herself. She lagged behind.
Without Kyan by Juno's side, the cat grew silent, visibly off in his own little world.
Kyan noticed that Merli asked if she was feeling "alright".
Kyan didn't respond.
