They retreated to safety as the maned wolf and horse followed.
The maned wolf had a look of pain in her eyes. They were smart enough to not attempt to save the humans, as badly as they wanted to. The horse was in a state of panic from what was happening during the escape, but still, he didn't break from Kyan's shield.
They reached a clearing, far from the group of Ferals.
The horse and maned wolf had clearly expressed that they couldn't trust the lot, and so, they parted ways.
Before leaving, the strangers briefly mention Fellinground. They were going there, too.
Tom says that's where we were headed...
Merli eyed Tez's wound. "What are we going to do?"
