Kim Taehyung was a writer.
He started writing back in middle school but it was only in high school that he decided to pursue it as his career.
Today, he was twenty-five and had four books published under his pen name, Luce. He's known to be humble to his friends and family but he did had a lot of fans both in South Korea and internationally. The catch was that no reader of his works knew his real name nor what he looked like, aside from those he knew personally, of course. He had managed to keep a low profile for the past years.
"So, when is your new book coming out?" Yoongi suddenly asked, causing Taehyung to break away from his deep thoughts and get back into reality. He looked at him with a frown. "Not soon, I'm afraid. I haven't even the slightest idea what it's going to be about."
He sighed as he tossed a can of cola over to him. He caught it with one hand in a swift motion.
"You're definitely on a writer's block. You should go somewhere out of Seoul. Get some air and inspiration."
He popped the can's lid open and took a long sip until it was almost empty. "I know."
Taehyung put on his shoes at the door to his friend's condominium unit and took his keys out of the pocket of his jeans.
"I'm going," he told Yoongi who was apparently playing a video game with his dog, Holly, resting on his lap. "Get home safely," he replied from the couch before he took his leave.
He was out of the parking lot in less than a minute. The familiar streets of Seoul came into view. Cars and lights were everywhere he set his eyes on. Damn it, the traffic is too heavy, he thought.

Taehyung reached his home in half an hour. He walked into the kitchen where his mother was. She was busily setting up the table with food that she obviously just finished heating up.
"You're late," she told his son with the long face. He turned his cell on for a second to check the time. It was almost ten in the night.
"I said you didn't have to wait for me if I'm not home by nine," he said to her as he took his seat. She only smiled before sitting on the chair beside his.
Today's dinner looked special. Taehyung regretted coming home late. Grilled chicken legs, gleaming fried rice, and beef stew, paired with his favourite side dishes. He quickly digged in after a short prayer.
"Haeun...did she eat already?" he asked his mother as he poured some orange juice into his glass from the pitcher. "Yes. By the way, Taehyung, when do you think we should tell her?"
He put the glass back down at her words. His jaw tightened.
His biological parents have left hum with his aunt when he was only four years old. Ever since then, he had treated her and her husband as his own mother and father, their only daughter as his younger sister.
They told him about the truth when he was in high school.
Taehyung became distant towards the family after that for a short while but they reconciled anyway. The wall between Haeun and him, only continued to grow until that day, however. Maybe he couldn't bring himself to be her brother again because of the fact that she was still unaware of everything that had happened.
