You stared at the dress laid on the top of your bed. Your mother had commissioned one for you so you could wear it when you go see Kim Seokjin.

Surprisingly, you liked it. It was not too casual nor too classy. Mrs. Han must have chose it carefully to go with your style. You smiled warmly at the thought.

You slipped into the dress and noticed how it hugged your curves perfectly. You then sat on the chair before your dressing table, staring at the makeup products scattered on its surface with a sullen face.

I should do my hair, first. You brushed your hair and attached a pin to the side of your head, just above your ear.

Next, you applied foundation and blush on your face, careful as not to put on too much. You used a soft salmon shade of lipstick for your lips and smacked them together a few times.

You should be good to go.

You noticed that your phone beeped a few times in your purse. You took it out and realized that Kim Seokjin had sent you a message.

You frowned immediately. Your mother had given him your number, after all, when you told her not to.

KIM SEOKJIN
hello where are you now? :)

HAN SOOHYUN
hi im near

You were in the back seat of your mother's car with Mr. Ji driving you to the restaurant you were meeting up with Jin. She had your father's secretary drive you to the place to make sure you were not going somewhere else and ditch the date.

She's irritatingly meticulous, you thought, turning your head to the right, watching the trees and buildings you were passing by.

Mr. Ji pulled the car to a stop beside a high-end restaurant, one that only people like you would be able to afford to go in. "Thank you for the ride, Mr. Ji," you told him with a small bow. He nodded acceptingly.

Your heart did a somersault as you entered the tall building. He was not someone you knew and yet you were too nervous.

A server made her way to you with a menu in hand. "You must be Ms. Han Soohyun?"

"I am," you replied plainly before she led you to a table on the third floor. The floor was obviously reserved for VIPs as there was no other person in the area aside from the man you were going to meet.

"Hello," you greeted Kim Seokjin with a fake smile as you clutched your purse in your hands tightly.

"Hello. Please take your seat," he said to you as he motioned for you to occupy the comfy chair facing his. You did so, while checking him out.

He wore a white Oxford shirt beneath a gray blazer, gray trousers, and brown polished shoes made of leather. It was clear to you that he was eyeing you as well. You felt a bit strange.

The same server that attended to you minutes ago, presented two menus to the both of you.

Your respective orders arrived sooner than expected and you dug in. "I'm Kim Seokjin by the way, although I'm sure you know that already," the man introduced himself as he cut his piece of steak into pieces.

"I'm Han Soohyun. Daughter of Mr. Han Juseong of Daejeon Hotel," you said dryly, rolling a few strands of pasta around your fork and bringing it into your mouth.

"Since we're done with our introductions, can you tell me about the things you like?"

"I like music and books," you replied, quite taken aback by the question. No one had not asked you about the things you liked for a long time because they did not matter anyway.

Jin smiled briefly. "I like those too. I'm especially an avid fan of comics and gaming. How about we head to a bookstore after eating?"

Your eyes lit up immediately at his words. "Sounds good."

Yoongi was feeling grumpy. It was Saturday, one of his rare days off from the office, and there he was in a bookstore at two in the afternoon.

He was filling in for Jung Hoseok, his junior, who worked at the place as a part-timer.

The young man was a part of the Task Support Team at Gyeoroo Publishing, where Yoongi was working with Park Jimin as a marketer.

He was his friend outside work. A friend he would like to be more than friends with.

"Would you like to pay with cash or a credit card?" he told the two customers that had come to the counter, with his eyes cast down.

"Credit card, please," you responded after taking a card out of your purse and handing it to the worker in charge of the counter.

Yoongi looked up the instant he heard your voice, a pleasing sound he thought he would never hear again.

However, the way your face changed over the years was not the biggest thing that startled him. It was the man beside you. Kim Seokjin.

Why are they together?

Yoongi wrapped the items they purchased with brown paper and secured the opening by stapling it down.

He followed you with his gaze as you exited the store with bright smiles on your lips.

After so long, he found his heart beating with an unexplainable rush again.
