"You booked a flight whilst drunk?" Jimin asked for the third time through Taehyung's cellphone.
Park Jimin has been his loyal friend since middle school and he was also the editor of my books. Without him, he would never be the writer I am today.
He decided to give him a call to inform him about his trip to England that Friday. He could have cancelled the flight but he knew he had to sort some things out on his own and find inspiration for another bestseller as well.
"Yes. And before you ask again, I'm leaving this Friday and returning on Saturday next week," Taehyung answered him, quite annoyed by how he always enjoyed to make him repeat his words over and over again.
"Have a safe trip then. I have to go now--I'm meeting up with Kyunghee at her place," the editor replied as he shoved his newly bought button-down shirts that he never got to wear even once before into his trolley.
"Remember to use the bed when making out."
Jimin laughed almost hysterically at his words. "Idiot! I'm meeting her parents. It was his turn to let out a low chuckle. "Good luck, dumbass. Don't tell them you made out for the first time on the stairs." He hanged up after that.Jimin and his girlfriend were really a piece of work. And he was the one who set him up with her on a blind date two years ago.
He secured the locks on his bag and kept the keys in the pocket of his shoulder bag which he would be carrying on the plane. He's ready to go.

A knock creeps its way onto the door into your bedroom. You sighed heavily as you were lying on your giant matress.
"Mr. Han has arrived. He wishes to have dinner with you and Ms. Han," a housemaid informed you in a qute eager tone.
"Alright, thank you," you replied dryly before rising from your bed.You were actually not in the mood for dinner with your family that moment but you were not in a position where you can dare refuse. You never was.
As the only child of the well-known CEO of the leading hotel chain in the entirety of South Korea, you grew up carrying the heavy expectations and ambitions of your parents on your shoulders alone. And to defy the simplest of their orders would do you no good. Be a useful daughter, your mother always told her.
After brushing your hair and making sure that you looked presentable enough, you made her way to the dining hall.
"Sit," Mr. Han told you and you did so on the seat facing him and your mother.
"Eat, will you? Your cheeks have lost their color," she complained about you as she sliced her steak into neat pieces. You quickly nodded.
You hadn't been eating much since you had been working on your thesis which was due the following month.
"Have you finished packing for your trip in England?" your father asked curiously as he scooped some salad onto your plate. "Yes, I'm ready for my flight tomorrow."
Your voice was higher than usual. You must have been too elevated for the trip that your parents allowed you to go on by yourself as a birthday gift since you had just turned twenty-five the previous week.
"Don't get crazy over there just because no one is going to look after you. Act decently," Mrs. Han sternly warned you with a glare and your father raised one of his brows.
"Let her do what she wants to for a week! You've been bringing her up strictly for more than two decades and you can't even let her have fun for seven days." You could not help but crack up at his words as you watched them argue by themselves further.
Your family was not that bad, to be honest. They just wanted the best for you and you understood that. They were even funny sometimes--once a year at least.

After the three of you finished your meals, you returned to your room.
Your life may have been lavish and complicated but there are times when you could be just yourself, a young woman in her twenties. Such a time was when you read books.
You walked up to the bookshelf situated beside the entrance to your walk-in closet and pulled a book out of it. The Path to You.
It was the first published work of a popular yet anonymous author by the pseudonym, Luce. Whenever you read his books, you felt as if the world has melted away into something unimportant. You smiled.
"Have fun there, Ms. Han!" Mr. Ji waved you goodbye from inside the car. There were only two hours left before your flight and your father's trusty secretary had offered to drive you to the airport in Incheon since he was free for the whole morning.
He started working for your father eighteen years ago and the two of them got along pretty well like siblings. He also treated you like his daughter.
"Drive safely, Mr. Ji!" you replied eagerly like a little kid before entering the building behind you.
Once the plane had took off, you decided to reread The Path to You to kill some time. It would take long several hours for you to reach England from the country.
When you were halfway through the novel, you slowly drifted into a slumber.

Taehyung motioned for the flight attendant to come over to his seat. "May I know where the washroom is?" he asked her, trying to sound as polite as possible. He was always awkward around strangers.
As he was heading to the aforementioned facility, he passed by you. A grin crept its way onto his face as he noticed the book on your lap. You didn't even bother to put it away before dozing off.
"She's my fan," he muttered before setting off again, the corners of his lips still twisted higher than usual.
"It's cold."
Those were the first words that came out of Taehyung's mouth after he exited the airport in London where he had landed in.He wished he went on a vacation in a tropical country instead like the Philippines. It had a warm climate and was also close to South Korea. But there was no turning back now; he was already there.
He hailed a taxi which took him to a nearby hotel where he would bestaying in for the rest of his trip.
He felt as if he could sleep for an entire week straight.
