three months later
"It suits you so much!" Mrs. Lim exclaimed as she settled both of her hands on your shoulders. You look at your reflection on the mirror. It did suit you.
You were at the hair salon your mother frequented. You decided to get a haircut and dye your hair a rich blue color. The shade was a perfect match for summer.
"You did a good job, Mrs. Lim," you thanked her while paying for their services at the counter. "Don't mention it. Greet Mrs. Han for me, my dear."
You gave her a corteous nod and bow before leaving the facility.
On your way to the taxi bay, you spotted a couple walking together with their hands intertwined. You noticed how the man's hair was blonde, just like his.
It had been three months and you mentally scolded yourself for still thinking of him. You thought that he must have already forgotten about you. After all, you were only together for a week.
As you got into a cab, he still lingered in your mind. His rectangular smile...you wanted to see it again.

"Yeonjoo, you're here!" you broke into a surprised scream the second you entered your room.
Your cousin, whom you have not seen in years, was inside, playing with Cloud.
"Hey, your hair looks nice!" she commented after pulling away from your long tight hug. "I literally just got it dyed an hour ago."
You help yourself to a bite-sized cookie. "So how are you and Nathan?" you inquired, referring to her relationship with her Canadian boyfriend.
"Well, it's been the same as always. You won't actually believe it but he's trying to learn Korean these days. His accent sounds too funny though," she replied as she tucked stray strands of hair behind her ear.
"Speaking of boyfriends, when are you and Seokjin going to make it official?"
"I don't know, honestly. Most of the time, I only think of him as a friend," you responded bluntly. The two of you go on occassional friendly dates but since he never brought up the matter of dating, you decided to leave it alone as well.

"God, I missed Seoul so much," Yeonjoo muttered, with her gaze all over your surroundings. She was holding Cloud with a collar.
You were walking on the streets around your former neighborhood. The whole site was renovated and it was now full of different specialty boutiques and cafeterias as well as luxury apartments and condominiums. There was also a lot of people around as it was an afternoon.
Suddenly, you detect a particular figure turned on his back in the distance. His mullet was still there, althought it was now brown. His hands were in his pockets. That posture. Of course, it would be him.
"Yeonjoo, wait a second," you apprised your cousin before darting away from her and squeezing yourself through the slightly dense crowd.
You heard her call your name, but you did not waste a second to look back and tell her what was exactly happening.
You could not see him anymore but you hoped he was still standing there, on the same spot he was a while ago.
When you were cleared out from the horde of bustling people, you breathed out a sigh of relief. He was still there.
You took a few steps closer to him until he was only a feet away. "Hello," you uttered, your voice shaking, "I'm Soohyun."

Kim Taehyung resisted movement for an instance. He found it surreal. After three months, you ran into each other again, this time in South Korea.
The first thing he did after turning around was beam. His rectangular smile was even wider than normal. Your hair was cut neatly below your chin and was tinted blue.
"I'm Taehyung," he responded as he outstretched his hand, waiting for you to take it.
You do, and the two of you shook hands briefly.
The two of you stopped by a nearby cafeteria. While you waited at a table, Taehyung placed your orders at the counter.
"Here is your Mochaccino and Vanilla Latte, sir," the barista handed the cupped beverages on a tray to him. He thanked them and returned to your table.
"You told me in England you're twenty-five. What do you do?" he inqujred of you after taking a sip from his Mochaccino. "I'm still a student. I major in Tourism and Hotel Management. How about you?"
"I just turned twenty-six, and I--" Crap. I can't tell her I'm a writer. If I do so, I'll have to tell her about my books but I'm Luce, he contemplated in panic.
"Are you...unemployed?" you told him in the most unoffensive tone you could manage. He seemed quite lost in thought for a moment.
He immediately shook his hand and brought his hands up for defense. "Uh, no...I work at a law firm."
"A law firm? Are you an attorney, then?"
"No, I'm only a secretary," he quickly made up, while laughing nervously. He wanted to smack his own head. It was such a lousy excuse.
In case you asked further about his job, he changed the topic. "What were you doing in here, by the way?"
"Oh, I was walking my dog with my--" A realization suddenly hit you. You had forgotten all about your cousin, Chae Yeonjoo, who was still probably waiting for you.
You checked your phone and your eyes grew bigger when ypu saw that you had seven missed calls and ten unread messages from her.
"Hey, Tae, I'm really sorry but I have to go now," you informed him with much dismay as you rose from your seat.
"Can we meet again tomorrow? We can watch a movie and you can bring a friend. I also have someone to introduce to you," Taehyung spoke up once you left the cafe together.
"Is Times Square Mall ok with you? Let's meet up at noon," you agreed without a second thought.
Kim Taehyung nodded eagerly. "Bye, Soohyun."
It was the first time he called you by your name and you surprisingly liked it.

Min Yoongi watched the two of you talk together inside the cafe.
Things were not going well. He knew Taehyung, and Taehyung knew you, and you knew Seokjin. The connection is starting to become more prominent between the four of you, slowly but surely.
When the connection is finally established, he would not be the only one who will have the memories.
