I'm Not Alone

I started this all. Everything that happened was my fault. Why didn't I stop it before it was too late. I became the first ever superhero mostly to find the people that killed my parents. It was the only thing that kept me going. I inspired other people to become hero's too. There was even a group that I joined. At first it was a good idea but now I see the truth. There were five of us me also known as the Bird. Roxanne Langley AKA Night Wave, she was kinda the leader of the group even though I did most of the leading. Tyler Hood AKA Silence, he was very quiet thats why he has that name but he was a good smart guy. Adam Phillips AKA Heavy Step, he had a good heart and did things for the right reasons but he wasn't smart. That caused him to make some big mistakes. Flynn Frazer AKA Armed Knuckles. Now This guy was interesting. He chose this life not for a reason like revenge or justice. No he wanted popularity, he wanted to be noticed. He was the most known out of all of us. This part of my life began when I joined the team. I recently finished school, lost the relationship with Kasey and was drifting apart from Ryan and Wade. Last I heard about Ryan was that he was dating Emma now. Being away from them wasn't all bad though. All this kinda gave me more time to go out and fight crime.

Back then I didn't really think about things. To me joining a team was a good idea. There was no bad side to this. At least that's what I thought at the time. Your probably thinking how did I join this team. Well I kinda got sick of being alone and needed some other people. So one night I stayed outside not fighting crime but watching others fight crime. Most people weren't really that good or weren't a big deal. There was a group of superheroes that I saw on the news. The first actual superhero team. I wanted to join them. So I waited around the area's they get seen the most. Around 1 AM I found them trying to stop a robbery. The way they were fighting they weren't trained. Except one the one called Silence. He was really skillful almost like myself. After they stopped the robber they tied him up for the police to come and get him. I decided to go talk to them.

"Look someone is walking towards us." Heavy Step said to his teammates.

"Holy shit, is that who I think it is." asked Armed Knuckles.

"If your thinking thats the Bird then yea it is who you think." Night Wave answered.

Silence obviously stayed silent. I walked over to them.

"Hey do you have one more spot on the team" I asked.

"Hell yea." Armed Knuckles answered. After he answered Night Wave looked over to him. She wasn't happy with his response. For some reason she chose to ignore it and just go with it. We ended up walking around on the streets looking for crime.

"So how did you all choose to become uh crimefighters? I guess you could say." I asked the whole group.

"Oooooooooo yes origin stories, ok let me start." Armed Knuckles said enthusiastically.

"Um well um. Ok to be honest I don't really have a reason. I just want to be famous. Also that whole helping people thing I guess." Armed Knuckles said.

"I've always wanted to help people. I grew up like that but it'd affect my personal life. I thought the whole hero thing and wearing a mask would stop all that." Heavy Step explained.

"I do this because of my brother. What happened was he got addicted to drugs and owed people money. One day these people came to our house with guns. They started threatening us and my brother decided to go outside. He was hoping to stop all this. They all punched him and hurt him. Anyway my boyfriend at the time went out to help mu brother. My boyfriend was beating all of them. Then one of the guys pulled out a gun and shot both my boyfriend and my brother." Night Wave said.

"So what about you." I said to Silence. I didn't know what to say to Night Wave. I wasn't good at helping people in that way. I noticed she was affected by it a lot.

"He doesn't talk." Heavy Step answered.

"Ha yea you should've seen when we first met him. He randomly showed up and didn't say anything. We only kept him around because of how good he is at fighting" Armed Knuckles explained.

"So I'm curious now. I want to know how the first hero chose to start" Night Wave asked.

I started thinking about this. Could I trust them or not. Not really but what's the worst that can happen. So I decided to tell them how this started. Or at least parts of it.

"It's a long story. I guess it starts with me being framed for my parents murder. I ended up proving I was innocent but never found out who the murderer was. Till this day I'm still searching. After all that my school got attacked and I saved the day. That's where I got very popular and people started doing the same as me." I explained to the whole group.

During our walk looking for crime we saw a bunch of cars parked near each other. Something was happening. I tried to get a closer look. At the same time trying to motion the others to stay behind. Didn't work they just followed. With a closer look I could tell what was happening. This was a drug deal. It wasn't like what I was used to. These guys looked like professionals and they had some powerful guns. What do I do. I can't just put these people in danger like this. They wouldn't have any idea on what to do. Except for silence.

"So what's the plan." Armed Knuckles whispered to both me and Night Watch.

"I don't know I need time to think." I answered.

"I say we just go in and fight them. We can beat them." Night Watch suggested.

"No, you guys wouldn't be able to take them. There are like ten people with guns. I love the enthusiasm guys but leave this for me and Silence. We know what to do." I instructed.

They didn't listen. They all ran up to those guys and started fighting them. Only Silence stayed back with me.

"Looks like we will have to do some babysitting." I said to Silence.
