Training Begins

I knew exactly where the team could meet up. A week ago I went looking for a place we could all be. A HQ if you want to call it that. I had found a old abandoned warehouse. No idea who owns it or what it was used for but nobody has been there for years. Before shit went bad me and Ryan would play there as kids sometimes. We had to sneak through a hole in the gate and everything to get there. It's pretty messed up but if we put enough work into it it'll probably be a good little hideout. I texted everyone the location and waited there. Everyone arrived at the same time probably because some were waiting outside for the others to arrive since this place does look sketchy from the outside.

"Welcome to our HQ. It's not much at the moment but with time and effort this place will be a pretty badass lair." I say to the team as they are walking in and looking around at the place. I could already tell that they weren't liking the place but they also were only just seeing how it is now. They weren't thinking about how it'll become later on.

"So anyway what did you want to say to everyone NightWave." I asked. I didn't know if everyone knew each others real names or anything. Probably should get to that soon though. So for now I'm just trying to stick to hero names.

"I'm going to be away for a bit. I've finally found a lead to the people that killed my brother. Some gang in the bad part of the area. So I'll be trying to catch up to them." Roxanne explained. This was good but also too dangerous for her. Especially by herself with no backup at all. I couldn't let this happen. This is worse than that whole Ryan situation.

"No I'm not allowing it. You can't go in there by yourself, you'll get yourself killed. You are not ready for stuff like that. Your still at sidekick level at best." I said trying to convince her not to do anything.

"if we are sidekick level what does that make you." Armed Knuckles asked.

"I'm Batman." I jokingly answered.

"Look I understand that you care about me and don't want me getting hurt but I have a chance to find the people that killed my brother. I can't just let that go." She argued.

"OK I'll let you go if at least one of you can take me to the ground. If not then you all can wait till I train you." I told all four of them. Armed Knuckles, Heavy Step and NightWave all came towards me. Silence stayed back watching what was about to happen. NightWave was moving around behind me while the other two were in front of me. They think that they have the upper hand. Well if they had any fighting experience that might have been true.

NightWave comes up to punch me in the back of the head. Without even turning back I knew she was coming and I grabbed her arm. I flipped her over my back and she landed with her back on the ground. Then Armed Knuckles went for an uppercut. I turned my body side ways barely dodging the punch. I stood back up straight, facing him. I pushed his arms to the side leaving his body defenceless. I then sparta kicked him in the chest pushing him back. He tripped on his own feet and fell to the ground too. Heavy Step tried to stomp on the side of my leg but I moved it back. Putting me in the fighting stance. I took that same leg and swung it up through the air kicking him in the face. As he was leaning forward in a bit of pain and confusion I pushed his back with my foot. Making him fall face first onto the ground.

Next was Silence possibly the only one that could take me down. I need to think outside of the box for him. There's no guarantee I'll win in a fair fight with him. He started walking over to me with his fists up and in the fighting stance. I was moving backwards but constantly facing him. I quickly turned my head back to see what was behind me I noticed a support beam for the warehouse right behind me. Behind that there was a wooden chair. I continued walking past the beam and the chair. Then I grabbed the chair by the legs and hit it against the beam breaking it. Now I had to wooden sticks to fight with. I started moving closer to Silence. He went in with a punch. I swung one of the sticks up and right before he hit me I slammed the stick down on his arm. I moved to his side and before he turned I swung both sticks at his legs making them lift of the ground. He fell backwards onto the ground.

"What did I say Batman right?" I proudly said. Then Silence taking me off my high horse or unicorn I like to say he used his legs to swipe mine. Using my own tricks agaisnt me I ended up on the ground too.

"Well Silence you get an A+ the rest of you get a get off your ass's and start training. I expect you all here at 5:00 in the morning. We are going to put this place in better shape." I ordered them.

"Wait hold on Silence got you on the ground." Roxanne started to argue while standing back up.

"Yea she is right so that means we can go out and do proper hero work." Armed Knuckles sided with Roxanne.

"The thing is I knew he could beat me if he really tried so I wasn't meaning or including him into the bet. From what I've seen from him he is already capable of working by himself. Sadly I can't say that about the rest of you. Eventually your days will come too so don't worry. Now I suggest we don't start any arguments and you all get some rest for tomorrow's work." I said to them all.

The next few days were spent working on the warehouse fixing up the holes in the walls. Installing cameras everywhere around the place. Setting up a gym and training area with all kinds of equipment. We also set up computers and I taught them some of the stuff that Wade showed me a while ago. Obviously I'm not as good as him at that kind of stuff but it was enough to help us out.

"So now that the new HQ is complete guess what that means. Training begins." I told them with a smile on my face. This was going to be torture for them but a lot of fun for me.
