Chapter 4: Peter Pov

I wake up around six thirty-ish and I get out of bed about ten minutes later. I take a really quick shower and brush my teeth. I then throw some clothes on which consists of; a back v-neck, Black jeans and I then eat a quick breakfast. I grab my training Boots and lace them right up.

Today Is the first day of initiation, I have to wake them up everyday which isn't really a problem.

I watch the end of the faction news and then leave my apartment, locking it as I exit. I walk towards the initiates dormitories and its almost completely silent. Looks like no one got stabbed in the eye tonight. There's always tomorrow.

I push open the door to the bedroom and notice everyone's asleep but her. Lacey. Her brown, medium length hair falling just past her shoulders is messed up and covering part of her right eye. She looks up at me and I smile until I realise I'm staring at her. She then quickly looks down.

I feel wrong admitting this but she is very beautiful. Even prettier than Tris when she first started initiation. And I hate to say this but Tris isn't too bad.

"Initiates! Up! It's seven o'clock, you have an hour to get ready, eat and meet me and your other instructors in the training room." I shout. "If you fail to be in there by eight, lets just say, You don't want to have to face me angry, or an angry Four for that matter." I continue.

Nearly everyone rises but one blonde, Erudite boy,

"Oh I'm sorry. Is this not a good time for you?" I taunt,

"Everyone! Have a lie in just because a know-it-all Erudite is too lazy to follow orders." I snarl sarcastically.

He rolls his eyes. But that's fine to me, if he's late then it's not my fault. It's his. And he will regret it. I walk out of the dormitory, feeling Lacey's eyes following me until she can see me no more.

I walk towards the dining hall and see Drew and Molly sitting down at the table.

"Heard you were staring at a stiff initiate?" Drew mocks, while Molly beckons me to sit down.

I just roll my eyes, denying it, but still wondering how he found out.

"Does Peter have a crush?" Molly says in a 'baby' tone.

"Shes just an initiate." I say, "I don't have a crush on her." I half-heartedly lie.

I shouldn't have to lie. These are my friends. But I do. Secrets are secrets for a reason, right?

After about half an hour of talking, I check my watch. It's about half seven. I decide to walk back to my apartment and wait for Tris. She said she would come by and walk with me to make sure I was awake. I roll my eyes at the thought and say bye to my friends. I walk back to my apartment which is about ten minutes away. I unlock it and enter, turning on the tv.

I'm on my phone when I hear a knock at the door. It must be Tris. I shove my phone in my pocket and answer.

"Ready?" She asks. As if I wouldn't be.

"Yeah." I say, then I explain how the erudite boy was not pleased at all about having to get up.

"They'll get used to it." She replies and we make our way to the training.

When we get there, it doesn't take long for Four and the other initiates to get into the training room. Me and Four set up the punching bags while Tris decides the fights.

Katniss Vs Annie.

Madge Vs Finnick.

Lacey Vs Gale.

Peeta Vs Clove.

Marvel Vs Cato.

Glimmer Vs Johanna.

I haven't seen any of them fight so I'm not gonna bet on who wins, but tomorrow I'll be able to.

"Today." Four says, "You'll be learning how to fight, throw punches and kicks and halfway through the lesson, we'll start the fights." He continues.

"Up there, is the fight board." Tris says pointing up to the chalk board. "That's who you will be fighting today."

I notice Lacey look down as she sees who she's up against. I don't know who Gale is, but he must be tough.

"After a week of fights the people who have won the most will be making it through initiation. The others, will become factionless." I say and I see a lot of people eyes widen and mouths gasp.

"What?" A brown haired girl says. Shes standing next to the blonde boy from Erudite that wouldn't get up. Clove is her name, I think. "You should've told us we could go factionless."

I'm about to answer but Four beats me to it,

"Would you have chosen differently?" He says. "Cause if so, you can just leave now. Anybody leaving?" He says raising his eyebrows. He puts them down when no one answers. "That's what I thought." He says.

"Everybody go in front of a punching bag and get started. We want you to show us all you have." Tris says moving her arm towards the punching bags. "Remember, we're the ones who decides who's cut." She says smirking.

We watch everyone descend off and it's clear some are better than others. The Katniss girl is pretty good but not as good as the Johanna girl. But neither of them are as good as Clove, she looks like she's had training. Madge and Lacey are about as good as Johanna, but Glimmer is not even close to Katniss. And Annie, she's barely moving the bag. Tris goes over to help her and I walk over to Lacey as Four walks over to Glimmer.

"You need to be more relaxed. It'll help you move quicker." I say and she turns around and stares at me.

"I don't know how I'm supposed to be relaxed when I could become factionless." She says sarcastically.

"Just use your body as well as your arms, you'll improve trust me." I say putting my hands on her sides and twisting her body slightly. I feel her shiver as my warms hands touch her pale body, she looks behind at me and eyes me up and down but then looks back at the bag and goes back to her punching. Better than before but not good enough.

"I'll be back soon to check up on you." I say and I walk back to watch everyone else.

The boys are surprisingly about as good as the girls. Some of them are pathetic but others show potential. Cato and Finnick are the best, they're moving the bag a lot. Peeta and Marvel, however, are hardly moving the bag but after a while they get better and the bag is moving more and more each time. And then I see Gale. He isn't as good as Cato or Finnick but he's a close third. It doesn't help that he has such a big build and is very tall. Now I know why Lacey looked down when she saw her name and who she was up against.

I notice Four trying to show Glimmer he has a girlfriend without actually saying it and Tris glaring at Glimmer. It's so funny to see Tris angry. She goes all red and its definitely not discreet.

After a while they both come back and we talk for a bit, watching everyone. It's odd, but they are improving. We get ready to announce the first fight.

Wow, a really long chapter here! Please read and review, I love to hear what you think. I will possibly to another chapter depending if I have the time.
