" hey " skye said softly, opening her front door and welcoming the curly haired boy inside.
" how've you been? " louis asked with genuine interest.
the pair maybe not have been on talking terms the past week but they were on each other's minds constantly, that was undeniable.
" alright, you? " skye replied with a smile.
" yeah, i've been okay "
skye nodded in response.
" so i just wanted to- " the both of them began in unison, pausing and awkwardly laughing at the sound of their voices overlapping.
" you go " louis said, skye shaking her head in disagreement.
" no, you " she replied.
" no, seriously, you go " louis insisted.
" okay, " skye chuckled, before her tone changed to a more serious and apologetic type, " i just wanted to say i'm sorry, about the whole kassius situation. as much as i hate to admit it, i got jealous and thought the worst. i'm really really sorry for that "
louis smiled, " it's okay. if it was the other way round i would have felt the same way. but me and kassius are just friends, really, " he assured her, " and i'm sorry as well. for the whole face time situation. i was a bit harsh "

" i've really missed you too, anderson "

louis furrowed his brows, hinting at her to continue.
she was about to do it.
she was actually about to tell him how she felt.
skye knew it could go either of two ways, louis could admit he likes her back, or he could say no and their friendship would never be the same.
either way, she thought it was best to give it a shot.
" so, louis, " she said, " we have only known each other a short period of time but i firmly believe meeting you was one of the best things to happen in my life so far. "
louis grew even more confused, but deep down he hoped skye was about to say what he had been meaning to for months, each time his nerves getting the best of him.
" i don't really know how to say this, " skye chuckled, her cheeks flushing a light pink colour, " guess the only thing i can do is come right out and say it. louis oliver hynes, i like you. like a lot, a lot. i understand if you don't like me back but i just felt i needed to tell you sooner rather than later because who knows what coul- "

before skye could finish,
a pair of soft lips were upon hers.
