The Astronaut

I feel like giving my heart away is not enough, as if
You needed something more than that, because
You deserve the world and all the galaxies.
The blood in my veins runs for you and the night sky
Reminds me of the depth of your soul,
Somehow willing to show itself but
Only few know how to appreciate it.
I can only hope that your heart exposes itself to me,
And I could give myself a chance to not be a heartbreaker as I usually am.

Despair comes to me at night when I am reminded of
The things I have done,
But my mind becomes calm when I remember
Who you are, and the beauty of the worlds in your heart.

You are my reason to expose my universe,
And I am the astronaut flying through your galaxies
Hoping to find something that no one else has discovered,
Some hidden science that can teach me how to love the beauty in its flaws.

I will forever explore every new star discovered, as if
The blood my heart pumps depended on it to survive.
The rush of ecstasy when your planets trust me
With such vital information
Cannot compare to any other joy in this world
Because you are your own universe but also mine.

I will expose you my world, stars, and galaxies.
I can only hope you let me into yours.
