Chapter 1; Broken New Girl

~ I was panicking, I could barley run down the corridor, my legs kept bucking underneath my weight. My eyesight blurry from tears trailing down my cheeks.

Looking around for the room I was told to go wait in for any news. When I found the room I went and sat down anxiously waiting...

About 20 minutes later a doctor finally came.."

*6 MONTHS LATER*

~Lila Rose~

I woke up with a start, looking around the room taking the surroundings. Its my room, well actually, its not my room...

it's my new room in Malibu.

I sigh and look at my phone on the bed side table to see it was 5:45 am. Might as well get up and start getting ready for my first day of school, a quarter into the school year, my senior year. I get up out of the bed to walk to my ensuite to take a shower. After my shower, I went to brush my teeth and to wash my face. I then walk back into my room to go into my walk in closet, I put on my black ripped skinnys and a black tee with a black and yellow flannel with the sleeves rolled up to show my forearm. Showing off my moon and star tattoo on my wrist. I put on my yellow hightop converse with little white splotches of paint on them.

I look at my phone again to see what time it was, to see it was now 6:45, an whole hour later. I grab my backpack and walk downstairs to see my Aunt Cat and Uncle Jared making breakfast and getting ready for work.

"Mornin' Auntie mornin' Uncle J" I say, to which Aunt Cat jumps and Uncle J smiles "morning Rosie. Would you like a cup of coffee?" I sigh "please, I need the biggest cup you got" Auntie softly smiles at me "another nightmare?" I pout and nod "yeah, I think I might skate over to the hospital after school today is that okay?"

"Of course its okay Li, you're allowed to go visit her." Cat softly tells me, and gives me a soft but tight hug. "Now eat some breakfast while I go wake your lazy bum cousins up." she says as she pats my shoulder walking out of the room. I go to the stove to get some of the food onto a plate and grab my cup of coffee and sat at the island.

After eating, I went back up to my room to get my skateboard, before I make it to my room Maxie comes out of her and Kassie's bathroom in a towel. She looks up at me and grins "you look pretty today LiRo" I snicker when I hear the nickname. "Thanks Max" I say as walking by ruffling her hair in the process with a slight smile.

I walk into my room and grab my board. Walk over to my bed, to see my Australian Shepherd, Kenji "come on boy you need to get into you cage." I then go grab a big black pullover hoodie and put it in my backpack yelling a bye to everyone and skate over to Malibu High School.

As arriving to the school, I flip up my skateboard, fix my backpack as picking up my board. Walking into the school to go get my schedule. As looking around for the office, I walk into a wall, or a someone. I look up to see a guy with bright blue eyes and snow white hair. "Oops my bad mate, um, by any chance could you show me where the office is?" I ask to which he just stares at me with awe.

I look at him weirdly, I look around to see another boy besides him with deep brown eyes and a mess of curly hair. "Could either of you boys tell me where the office is?" I ask slowly this time. "Oh um, yeah, its this way, by the way my name is Elliot but everyone calls me Eli. And that goof is Dakota." Eli says with a smile on his face. I give a small smile "Its nice to meet you two, I'm Lila Rose."

"Well, Lila Rose this is the office, have a nice day." Eli says with a big smile. "Thank you lads." I give another small smile. I turn around to walk into the office. I walk over to the front desk to the lady behind the desk "Hi, um, I'm new and I need my schedule." I say. She looks up at me "Okay, name?" she asks quickly. "Lila Rose Parker."

She looks at me and smiles "beautiful name. Okay, um. okay, here you go sweetie." She hands me a few different papers. "One is your schedule, one is for your locker and the other is just a few rules for the school." She explains to me. "Thank you ma'am." I give a soft smile and turn around and look at my schedule.

Yay maths first. Go me.

I don't even bother going to my locker yet, and just go to find my first class for the day. When I finally find the class, the late bell rings as soon as I walk into the door. I walk over to an empty seat in the back and sit down quietly. The teacher gets up from her seat, "So class it seems we got a new student today, why don't you stand up and introduce yourself sweetie?" I stand up with a straight face "HI, I'm Lila Rose." I say and sat back down, putting my feet back on my skateboard.

"Well, welcome to Malibu Lila Rose, hope you enjoy it while here. I'm Mrs. Jones, if you need any help don't be afraid to ask." she smiles at me to which I nod and smile softly at her. "Okay, so-" I immediately zone her out, due to someone poking my arm, I look over to see it was the guy from early, the guy who helped me find the office. "Hi again." he says to me with a lopsided smile. "Hi, Eli right?" I ask slightly with a small smile. He nods enthusiastically with a grin now on his face, I slightly chuckle.

And just like that the first few classes go by, after Eli became like a happy puppy wagging his tail at me and talking a little bit I found out that we had the next few classes together too. And so he showed me around till lunch, to which he asked if I wanted to join him and his friends for lunch, I shrugged,

Why not?

After History class ended, it was finally time for lunch, to which Eli was jumping besides me waiting for me to pack all my stuff up, I have still not gone to my locker, bending down to also grab my board, Eli looks at it like its his firs time ever seeing one, to which I had to chuckle at, "do you actually skate?" he asks with his head slightly cocked to the side. I chuckle "No Eli, i just walk around with a skateboard in my hand all day for the fun of it." he stares at me for a second to see if I'm joking or not. After a few minutes it looks like he still struggling to see if I'm telling the truth or not to which I have to stop when we walk into the cafeteria to laugh, throwing my head back to laugh. A few seconds later I look back at him to see him grinning at me "you have a very beautiful laugh." he says to me, to which I grin softly to him. He looks around the cafeteria to look for a table, when he does he grin and grabs my forearm. "Come on, i want you to meet everyone."

that was the first chapter...

only two of the main characters have been introduced, although Dakota hadn't really said anything, you kinda get to see into Eli's goofy personality...

and don't worry you obviously get to meet everyone else next chapter.

So so sorry that its taken so long to update, I've had a lot of different things going on and I had the worst case of writer's block
