The door blasted open, water running into the room. Martha screamed upon seeing the water rise up to her knees. Marco rushed inside and started unlocking the cells one by one. It seemed like he was the savior they never expected.

Lucián couldn't help but feel furious upon realizing that Marco came here to save them. Of course. He would never dare to kill all of us by abandoning us. Their efforts in keeping us hostage would be wasted.

As soon as Lucian and Violette's cell was opened, Lucián immediately bolted with Violette trailing behind him. Marco shook his head in irritation before helping the other hostages to get to the upper floors.

The people of Cielo Brillante frantically packed their bags as the water got inside their homes. The rain was never ending. The sky was dark enough to make it seem as if it was still night.

They underestimated the typhoon. The people of the town were used to natural disasters such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and typhoons. They were far to comfortable to care or be worried. It was their big mistake.

One of the friars who was being carried by    a couple of men yelled in irritation, "Careful! Don't let my clothes get wet, you fool!" The arrogant and hotheaded friar named Padre Barredo was annoyed with how slow they were moving. The men carried him up to the upper floors of the building.

Even though they couldn't understand what he said, they assumed that he was impatient. They held their comments back, knowing that speaking up would not make them closer to the friar.

When they finally got to the upper floor, they were bombarded with insults. "Indios such as the two you are rather slow. Can't you understand that my clothes almost got wet?" After the friar stated that, he translated it for them to be able to comprehend it.

A fair skinned man approached them with a smile on his face. The friar grew irritated upon seeing one of his friends. His friend, a businessman would often gift him with such lavish gifts.  "Padre Barredo, how are you? I hope the men I sent to help you were helpful."

The friar scowled and said, "Helpful? They were anything but helpful. They move as slow as a turtle. Fortunately, their filthy hands didn't stain my clothes."  He let out a laugh afterwards. His friend looked at me and laugh along forcefully.

As they were talking, a small boy ran towards them while sobbing. He clanged onto the businessman's leg and said, "She broke my toy!" The friar's friend let out an annoyed sigh before asking, "Who?"

Padre Barredo let out a laugh and said, "I assumed that it might be an Indio. They are far too destructive to be able to have such luxuries." The small boy continued crying while pointing towards the corner of the room where the servants were gathered.

The businessman pulled his son from his leg and carried him. He walked towards the servants who froze upon seeing him. The child in his arms continued crying while pointing towards a particular female named Helena. Everybody looked at her with judging eyes.
