On the other hand, Pippa was bundled up tight, and you could see the excitement on her face from a mile away.
Hey, Pippa! Ready to have a fun day with me!" Alex asked excitedly
"Yeah! Mommy, maybe he can get me a new dolly! You must have a lot more green paper than my mommy! More toys for me!!!!!" she exclaimed.
Alex noticed Eliza's saddened expression.
"I-I'm sure Mommy works so hard for all your toys and clothes. I can get you a new doll, but not all the time! Just this once for a while. I probably don't have much more green paper then Mommy" Alex said quickly, and Eliza smiled slightly at him.
"Eliza. Are you not cold?" he asked suddenly.
"Oh! Um, I kinda have to wear this for my job. It sucks, but it helps me make money, so..." she responded.
"Just, meet me at the Diggs Diner at 5:00. Ok?"
"Ok. Bye!"
"Bye!" she responded, and ran off in the ice cold.
Alex got Pippa in his car, and turned around to look at her in the back seat.
"So, movies, lunch, toy store. Sound good?"
"YEAH!!!!!!" she yelled in the back seat.

Alex was driving to Diggs' Diner, when he saw a girl shivering in the alleyway in the cold. He jumped out with Pippa, and walked towards the girl, Pippa in hand. He tapped her on the shoulder and jumped when she quickly turned around. He was worried when he saw her face...
"ELIZA?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT HERE?! IT'S, LIKE, 14 DEGREES OUTSIDE!" Alex exclaimed, taking his jacket off and putting it around her shoulders.
"M-my b-boss locked m-me out-t..." she responded, shivering.
"Oh shit! Eliza, you have to say something!" Alex argued
"Alex! I can't! One, he's my boss, and two, nobody actually pays attention to me or likes me! Except this one girl, my best friend, Maria Lewis. But that's it! They all think I'm a whore because I had a child at 17! They all pick on me and push me and bully me. They don't care, Alex!" she yelled, getting teary eyed.
"Eliza... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to anger you" Alex said calmly
"It's ok, Alex. I'm just getting over reactive. I'm the one who should be sorry" she responded.
"No, Eliza, it's my fault. But lets not get into that. I'll take you home, and watch Pippa while you get warmed up. Ok?" Alex said, trying to help her.
"But I have to stay here..." she started, but Alex gave her a look. "O-ok. Fine. C'mon, Pip!"
"Yes Mommy!!!" she yelled, happy as usual, not understanding what was happening.
"So... what did you and Alex do today?" Eliza asked her daughter
