Ben

I really appreciated being left alone in the dark! Fear overpowered my anger so I just continued to run away. The whole lock your feelings up thing isn't happening. Being Erica is way too hard. Dodging left and right, passing trees. For some reason I managed to out run them, running faster than I've ever ran. No longer hearing the quad bike rumble. Now I run alone in the dark, my fears returning. It feels silly being scared of the dark, after, well all of this. But I couldn't help but shiver in fear as I heard movement on my left and right. The sound of the trees and the dim moonlight coming from above. As I continued to run I heard a small gurgle.

Sounding loud, oddly like an off-road vehicle. Ignoring it I continued forward, it got louder instead. Then something ran into me, I shouted in surprise. Then I crashed into a tree, sliding down the trunk and landing on my head. Blinking a few times a frowning Erica loomed over me. I smiled and waved and she rolled her eyes.

——

"I literally just hit you with a vehicle going 40 miles per hour and your alive." She asked, horror and amazement seeping into her voice. The dim moonlight made her eyes gleam like wolves, I frowned at the thought.

I looked down at my arms, the shirt I was wearing bulging from my new limbs. My arms becoming like the Hulk's, big and muscular. Black veins sticking out on them. I looked away in disgust. Howl's shook the earth, from the fallen angels. Imagining myself leading them made me shiver. I thought they were hideous, imagine me! The general of them all, the misfits, who don't even belong in nightmares. Rudolph wouldn't even save them...

"We are beautiful." I voice echoed in my head, I looked around eyes wide. That same familiar voice, Erica noticed and raised her fists. Her eyes shown with confusion not matching her wolf aurora.

"No." I growled aloud covering my ears, but her voice penetrated my skull. Sounding so familiar it burned my ears. A person from my past life, one I would never get back.

"You will become them. Forget yourself, be reborn." She simply whispered raising her voice, it wavered with excitement.

"Reborn." I whispered imagining myself turn into one those. I couldn't help but smile at the thought. I would be admired, respected, I would be the leader. No longer a pawn of an army, I would make the decisions. Lead the fights, they would bow down to me. However, Erica wouldn't admire me, she would be disguised and probably try to kill me. Knowing her she would succeed at it, I imagined the humiliation in that.

Then Erica slapped me across the face. Noticing my confused glare she practically shouted "What is happening?"

"You mean the famous Erica Hale can't figure this out?" I asked anger creeping into my tone. I stood tall, easily taller than Erica.

She sneered and growled "Aren't you the detective here? I protect you, and you solve the mysteries."

She almost didn't sound like her regular self, due to the emotion. But she's displayed more, and more emotions on this mission. If it's really a mission anymore. The Academy is gone, and currently we've teamed with SPYDER. This isn't really a mission, but more so a save the world thing. Save the world from me.

"I don't need your protection." I responded lifting my heavily muscled limbs.

"Your going to regret it." She responded back, leaning against a tree. I looked over at the quad-bike unsure if it'd even hold my weight.
