Yeah it's been a while, but hey we're back. Just a quick recap:

Ben's inner demon thing goes bye bye (for now *wink*) and Erica and Ben run into three new characters, Carol, Julia, and Sophie. Julia and Érica throw some hands  and Erica slices and dices Julia with a pocket knife. Then afterwards they make up and Carol and Erica head on an adventure. Thus leading into this next chapter!

I don't own Erica, Ben, or Warren all the others I do, thanks!

We drove up a mountain, and came out on some sort of lookout tower. The bricks looked old, and in some places they were gone. It stood 3 stories tall, and on top a ratty American flag waved. Just looking at the flag made me gag, what has American become? But, you can't spell America without Erica, and I smiled at that.

"Here." She tossed me binoculars and I smiled. These were high tec and the fancy boujee Erica was squealing. Because yes, I have a boujee side.

We started on our climb, stepping through a broken doorway. Spiderwebs clung to the walls, and animal droppings to the floor. Upturned pieces of furniture sat in the corner along with a bookcase. I smiled remembering the time Ben got trapped underneath a bookshelf. Back when we were stuck in that dungeon thing. Good times, I especially loved the mom betraying her only daughter part.

"You and your boyfriend have caused quite a ruckus." She noted, pulling the binoculars to my eyes, I noticed trucks driving with some not so friendly drivers. Guns in their laps and men in armor in the bed of the trucks. The trucks were all the same, white with a red sword on the side.

"Straight ahead, with a guard tower, it will have some good information, and prisoners." Looking in that direction a man with a ARES DSR-1 and padded armor stood. A high fence around it with a large warehouse in the center. It used to be a shopping center, full of touristy things.

"How did you guys get together?" I asked lowering the binoculars and surprised by the sudden darkness.

"Same as you." She noted her blonde hair shimmering in the dark.

"Spies?"

"Yes and no. Not at some kid academy like yourself. Julia and I have been through..." she huffed and turned away. I could sense a sort of pain, and anger behind her words.

"We probably should leave. Patrol will be coming in a few." Carol noticed turning and heading down the old brick stairs. I took one last look at the enemy base and followed.

Carol is a strange character, Mysterious. However she's an ally and I appreciate that. Besides, Julia is a surprisingly good at fighting. But, I probably shouldn't of stabbed her like I did, but hey I did!

"What were you going to say?" I asked but she ignored me. Headlights began to creep up behind us, and voices, laughter.

Starting our bikes we drove into the woods, out of sight as the pickup truck pulled in the sightseeing spot. I watched behind my shoulder, on the top roof on the truck a machine gun sat mounted. One gripped it tight, as two others grinned pointing over at us.

"Shit!" Carol growled pointing at my headlights that were turned on, I quickly turned them off.

"I've heard really, really good things about you. Then you do stuff like that?" Carol jerked her handlebars to the right and we veered back onto the main path. The men yelled behind us, the pickup going into the forest. I followed Carol feeling out of it. My heart aching and my vision swimming. I never make silly mistakes like that.

We went down the road and turned off to the right. Then off-road again, the truck behind us gone, far enough not to worry. The sound of water running, loudly. Then off to the right, water, lots of it.
