  Mike sat in one of the carriages of the train with his earphones on. He couldn’t help but wonder about what he saw yesterday. He opted that, it was only a trick of light but her eyes are so weird, it was yellow and black and it looked downright fiendish.

  ‘What was that? Was she sick that day? No, I’m hella sure there is no sickness or a side effect from drugs that can turn your eyes like that. What the hell is going on…?’ Mike thought, incredulous over the whole thing.

  Mike scans the passengers on the train, looking at their eyes if they too have those colors.

  None.

  Maybe Mike was just really stressed out yesterday and started imagining things.

  ‘Something feels odd.’ Mike thought. Out of the blue, he felt like someone is looking at him. But it’s not the usual “Hey look, it’s the nerd” type of feeling, it’s completely something else. Something like the look Ms. Tessa was giving him yesterday.

  Mike looked around him sweating anxiously. There’s nothing. Not one thing is happening… Maybe he’s just being paranoid.

  All the way to his school, the feeling never left Mike. Instead it only got worse when he entered his class. Heck, it felt like everyone is watching him. He glances around the room. Most of the students are either asleep, looking at their notebooks or staring at the teacher, yet could still feel like someone is watching him. Mike’s legs started shaking, his hands are trembling, and his breaths come and go fast. He is in such an agitated state that he couldn’t make out what the teacher was saying.

  He looked at the clock with only 15 minutes left before the class ends. ‘Maybe a little alone time in the library might help’ He thought.

~~~
         Mike sat at the far end of the school library, where there are more book shelves, less tables, and most importantly, less people. But despite having less people around, he could still feel like people are watching him. He tried to calm himself down. He breathed in, held it for seven seconds and breathed out. It’s a breathing exercise his grandfather taught him. It works all the time.
  Then he felt someone approaching him. He could hear those slow footsteps coming towards him. He’s too afraid to move but his curiosity got the best of him. He turned around slowly and saw… Brian?
  Wait no… something’s off… it’s his eyes… He has the same eyes as Ms. Tessa yesterday. And not only him but also his two pals behind him.
  “What's going on?” Mike asked in dread. “Is this a prank or some kind of joke to make me look like an idiot?!” Mike’s voice raised a few octaves, distraught over being cornered. When Brian stepped towards him, Mike took a step back.
  “G-get away from me! Please!” Mike begged but Brian just grinned.
  “How pitiful.” He said with a rather unusually deep voice. “So weak yet so valuable.”
  Mike was frozen in fear. He wanted to run but he just couldn’t.
  “W-who… what… are… you??” his voice trembled, not knowing what to do or say, or what would happen next.
  In a blink of an eye, Brian was already in front of him, as if he teleported.
  “W-what the—” before he could finish he noticed Brian looked very different. His skin is now maroon and there are horns coming out of his forehead.
  He couldn’t believe what he is seeing right now. What is he? Why is he after Mike? Is this legit happening right now?
  Brian raised his arm ready to impale him with his long-ass nails. Mike closed his eyes afraid of what could happen… but nothing did.
  Mike opened his eyes slowly, only to see something he could not comprehend.
  ‘What happened..?’
  Brian and his friends lay on the ground unconscious. He knelt down and looked closely at Brian, who is now looking like his usual human self. He was about to stand up and call for the police until he heard grunts and shuffling behind him.
  He fell on his back as he turned around and saw what looked like a monster, with the similar eyes and maroon skin as Brian before, being held up by the neck by someone taller and a more well-built physique. The taller guy tightened his grip, cracking the head of the other Demon leaving him lifeless. As his once struggling arms fall down, the now dead monster fades in black dust, leaving a gold coin on the floor. He picked it up and looked at Mike with a smirk.
  ‘He is one of them’ Mike thought, as he noticed the guy also had Maroon skin and yellow eyes
  ‘He is one of them’ Mike thought, as he noticed the guy also had Maroon skin and yellow eyes. He also had horns curving up slightly on his head and a tail.
  ‘But why would he kill someone like him?’
