Is He The One?

A Friend?

A few months have passed since Gun had re-entered Joss' life and it seemed he was being honest when he admitted to wanting to just be friends with Joss again. Not once had Gun done anything to make the couple suspicious of his motives. Although Yo had said in the beginning that he believed Gun he still kept an eye on him in the early days. Now Yo felt completely comfortable leaving Joss and Gun alone together, not worried about Gun trying to come onto his man. To be fair Gun rarely ever hung out with Joss alone, he spent most of his time with the happy couple. It was his way to gain Yo's trust and show him that he was being  sincere with his words. 

5 months after reuniting with Joss Gun had invited him and his lover out to the movies, he had been doing that a lot over the months, slowly gaining Yo's complete trust in him. It was going so well that when Gun invited the pair over to his house this weekend, and Yo couldn't go due to work, Yo was more than happy to let Joss go alone and spend time with his friend. Gun had done nothing to show that he was at all interested in getting Joss back so Yo felt safe in letting his boyfriend go over. When the weekend came around Yo got stuck into his work while Joss headed over to Gun's apartment around 10 am. Joss was welcomed into a warm hug when he arrived at his friend's place, it was only brief and it wasn't long till they were laying on the couch playing a few games on the xbox. They had been playing for a couple of hours when Gun spoke up "This reminds me of freshmen year in high school when you used to come over most weekends to play video games all afternoon. You could never beat me at anything and you still can't." He laughed as he placed his controller down to go grab them some more drinks from the fridge. 

The boys decided to go out for lunch before coming back and watching a movie later that afternoon. Joss had sent a text to Yo asking if he wanted to join them for lunch but Yo still had a ton of work to catch up on so he politely declined. Gun had decided to take Joss to his favourite noodle stall. When they were back in high school the pair used to frequent the small business at least twice a week. When they arrived Joss was blown away "You still remember this place?" he half asked half stated. "Of course I do. We used to come here twice a week almost. I still come by here every so often" Gun replied softly. As they sat down and ordered their usual they began reminisce about all the good times they once shared together. This place was bringing back so many fond memories. There were tones of smiles, laughter and even a few happy tears as they enjoyed their wonderful meal. 

"I'm sorry I left like that. I didn't want to leave you but I didn't have a choice. I'm just glad to be back and to be friends once again. Yo is one lucky guy to have someone as kind, caring, loving and devoted as you" Gun spoke. "I feel like I'm the lucky one. I never thought I could love again but then Yo came along and turned my world upside down. He completes me" Joss said happily. They quickly finished their meal before heading back to Gun's place to watch a movie. On the drive home Joss received a text from Yo stating that he had finished his work and wondered if he could join them. Joss was excited that Yo could hang out with them for the afternoon, he thought it was sweet that Yo and Gun got on so well. 

The afternoon flew by as the boys watched a couple of movies, Die Hard and Captain America. Around 7 pm Joss and Yo thought it was time to head home as they wanted to spend some time together, just the two of them. Mostly Joss just wanted to pleasure his boyfriend but he wasn't about to openly admit that in front of everyone. They bid Gun farewell before heading off towards their home, ready for a fun filled evening. 

This continued on as the months flew by, Joss was starting to spend more and more alone time with Gun, getting to know more about him since their unexpected split awhile ago. Joss had completely forgiven Gun for his actions, knowing that he would of probably done the same thing if he was in Gun's shoes. They were currently at Gun's apartment, having a few drinks, just hanging out like any friends would. Yo was currently spending the afternoon with some of his university friends. They couldn't understand how Yo could let an ex back into his lover's life, worried that Gun might try to make a move on Joss. Yo kept reassuring them that Gun wasn't like that but it wasn't until they met the man themselves that their doubts began to wash away. 

While Yo was out with his friends Joss and Gun were reminiscing about their past. "Do you remember in sophomore year when Sarah confessed to Knot. She went all out with balloons, a sign, even a home made cake. Her reaction when he told her he was gay was priceless" Gun laughed out. "Or when Tew was carrying a rather large cake and tripped over a bag and landed face first into it" Joss chuckled as he remembered all the good time back in high school. "Yeah someone took a picture and posted it all over the school's website. He was the hot topic for the next 3 days" Gun answered back happily. 

"I think the funniest is when Mr Smith, our maths teacher, was caught sleeping with a student and try to claim that it was his twin brother and not him. I mean he was an only child so the twin story was never going to hold up" Gun said while trying to hold in his laughter. "Our school had so many strange yet wonderful people" Joss replied. Gun spoke "I still see some of our old gang here and there. Did you know that Tammy is now married and has 2 kids? Little miss I don't want to settle down has in fact settled down." Joss was having a blast remembering the good old days. Spending time with Gun was good for his soul. 

The hours flew by and it was getting late so Joss decided to call it a night and head home. He was dropped off by Yo earlier so he caught a cab home so he wouldn't disturb his lover's evening. When he arrived home he saw Yo sitting on the couch watching some sci-fi tv show. "Did you have fun catching up with your friends" Joss asked Yo as he planted a soft kiss on his boyfriends cheek. "It was wonderful. Park had recently got engaged to his boyfriend and are planning to get married in 5 months" Yo said as he pulled his lover towards him. "That's great news sweetie. I'm happy for the both of them" Joss replied as he wrapped his arms around Yo. 

They cuddled on the couch for awhile before headed off towards the bedroom to get some much needed sleep. Yo fell asleep with a smile plastered on his face, unaware that his little world was about to come crashing down.
