Since Joss had gotten his new job there was an open position in the office Yo worked in. It was 4 months until the opening was filled and everyone was surprised when a very attractive, tall man was given the job. His name was Pha and until recently he considered himself straight but the moment he laid eyes on Yo he felt an undeniable spark. As the months flew by Pha and Yo had become very good friends. Pha was a little heartbroken to discover that Yo was already in a relationship but he was happy to be apart of Yo's life, even if it was just as a friend. Yo and Pha had become best friends and spent a lot of time together, when Yo wasn't spending time with Joss of course. Pha's love for Yo was only growing but he loved Yo too much to ever cross that line. 

One of his best friend's Beam was in a relationship with a girl once and 2 years into the relationship Beam found out she had been cheating on him for over a year. He saw the pain and heartache his friend went through and promised that he would never do that to anyone. Being so close to Yo he was always there when Yo was struggling, especially in his relationship with Joss. At first everything seemed fine with the pair but slowly cracks began to appear. The late nights, weekends away, even Joss' 6 months work trip was getting to the poor boy. Pha was being the very supportive friend that he needed to be. So when Yo turned up at his house in the middle of the afternoon, carrying a suitcase and crying, he knew something was seriously wrong.

He quickly let Yo into his apartment and lead the young man to his spare room. "You can stay here as long as you like" Pha said "I'll be downstairs if you need anything." Pha then left the room, giving Yo some space, as he headed towards the living room. Yo placed his suitcase by the door before crawling onto the bed, curling up into a ball and crying his eyes out. He couldn't believe that his boyfriend of 3 years had been cheating on him and with his ex of all people. I guess he should of realised something was a miss with all those late nights and weekends away but Yo trusted that Joss loved him and wouldn't cheat on him. Joss probably lied about work being so hectic just so he could spend some alone time with Gun. Maybe that's why Joss took the new job in the first place, so he could spend quality time with his ex uninterrupted. Whatever the reasoning it did nothing to ease his broken heart.

Yo kept himself in his room for a couple of hours, unable to move from the bed as the pain in his heart was just too much to handle right now. He was still curled up in a ball when Pha re-entered the room 3 hours later. Pha could see that Yo was an emotional wreck right now so he rushed over and wrapped his arms around the boy. "It's ok Yo. I'm here. Just let it all out, I won't let you go" he said softly. Yo held onto Pha tightly, as he kept crying, letting his pain flow through. They stayed there on the bed, holding onto one another, for about half an hour. Finally Yo had calmed down a little and lifted his head up a little to look at Pha. Pha looked back at Yo and held him close "I'm here if you want to talk."

Yo took a deep breath before he began to speak, his voice was barely above a whisper "I came home today, after my little holiday, and I found my boyfriend on the couch being fucked by his ex lover. I can't believe my boyfriend, well now ex, of 3 years was cheating on me and in our own home. What hurt the most was even after I caught them in the act they didn't stop, it was like I wasn't even there." Yo was crying all over again "I can't believe I was so stupid. All the late nights, the weekends at work, even his 6 month work trip was all just a cover up. I kept believing that Joss couldn't possibly be cheating on me, that he really did love me but I guess it was all just a game to him. I didn't matter to him anymore and instead of letting me go he chose to string me along for his own enjoyment." Pha held on to Yo as the boy poured his heart out "I don't even remember the last time we had sex with him being shirtless or even getting a passionate kiss good night." 

The tears were flowing freely by this point "I guess I was just too in love to see the truth staring me right in the face. You know they say you shouldn't be friends with an ex but I trusted that Joss really did love me." Yo couldn't continue anymore, the pain was just too much to bear. Eventually Yo had cried himself to sleep and was soon off into the dream world while Pha laid beside him, still holding the boy in his arms. Pha couldn't believe Joss could stoop so low and cheat on Yo like that, didn't their relationship mean anything to him he wondered. For the next few days Yo was like a living zombie. He would eat, sleep, work but all the happiness was drained from his semi lifeless body. He was barely getting by and often cried himself to sleep at night. 

It was a week later before Yo had the courage to finally face Joss but by then his ex had completely moved on, as if Yo never existed in the first place. The house that Joss had bought them, all the photos and even his own belongings were long gone. Joss seemingly couldn't wait to get rid of him Yo thought to himself. He began to wonder if Joss had ever really loved him or was only using him to get over his ex lover. What affected Yo the most was being sent a copy, at work, of Joss and Gun's wedding invitation that was happening in just under 2 weeks. They were clearly just trying to rub it into Yo's face and make him feel even worse than he already did. Through all this Pha stood by Yo's side, as his friend and shoulder to cry on. Although he loved Yo he put his own feelings aside for the moment and focused on being there to support Yo through this difficult time. 

Days, weeks and even months passed before Yo was able to slowly let go of the pain he felt inside. All those feelings of not being good enough or feeling unlovable were slowly fading away. The old Yo had started to reappear. Everyone around him could see that Yo was beginning to move on from the past and it was all thanks to Pha. Pha had become Yo's rock, his strength in his time of need. Pha was there to help Yo through his darkest hour and he wasn't going to leave. Yo was still too damaged to try dating any time soon, which made Pha both happy and sad, but he was getting out of his house more and even spend more time with his friends. The worst seemed to be over for now which was a relief to not only Yo but Pha himself. 

Yo was very grateful to have a kind, caring, loving friend like Pha, He was always there by Yo's side whenever he needed him. As time moved forward Yo's heart had healed fairly well and it was all thanks to Pha. He didn't want to openly admit just yet but Yo had started to fall for his best friend. Yo was still a little scared to put his heart on the line again so he kept his feelings to himself for now. He had moved on from Joss but he didn't think he could survive another heartbreak so he kept the walls up around his heart. That didn't stop Pha from slowly worming his way into Yo's heart and setting up camp. Yo kept his feelings bottled up, protecting his fragile heart, but life has a funny way of working things out and bringing two people who are destined to be together into each other's arms.
