Taeyong's POV
Christmas break came and went.
By now, four months had passed since I'd met Jungwoo. Four months of torture and unapologetic bullying from his friends.
I didn't bother to meet up with Jaehyun over the holidays, I was far too focused on my own personal development. I'd gained 5kg of muscle and lost the baby fat on my body, all thanks to the help from my trainer.
I admired my physique in the mirror on the first day back to school. I was ready to take on Jungwoo once again, this time I was sure I could take on anything he threw at me. I smirked at myself, I definitely looked more confident. My posture was a lot better and I no longer had the shy smile on my face when I greeted people.
My mother noticed the change but she didn't comment, she only raised an eyebrow when she saw me drinking a protein shake.
"You've changed." was the first thing Jaehyun said to me when I sauntered into the classroom, my eyes meeting the gaze of any one who looked my way, instead of looking away quickly.
I turned my eyes to his and smirked. "You noticed?"
"I don't seem to recognise you any more." he mumbled, I didn't bother to ask him if he was saying that in a good or bad way.
I glanced up at the doorway when I saw a familiar flash of orange out of the corner of my eye.
He looked terrible, he had under-eye bags, his usual cold expression had turned into a tired expression. I dismissed it though, everyone had bad days and I'm sure Jungwoo wasn't an exception.
His eyes showed a flicker of emotion when he looked at me and I smirked back, not bothering to hide how proud I was of my transformation.
He gulped, looking at his friends who were stood waiting around his desk and waiting for his order. He sat down before turning to me.
"You've changed."
I scoffed. "Tell me something someone hasn't said already."
He stared at me, a small smile forming on his face before it disappeared.
He looked up at Jisung. "What do you think of Taeyong's new look?"
"U-umm." Jisung nervously flicked his eyes to me before looking back at Jungwoo. "I-It looks good."
"It looks good?" he raised an eyebrow.
Jisung visibly paled. "I-I mean..."
"Do you think he's confident enough to join us?" he interrupted.
Jisung nodded, avoiding Jungwoo's piercing gaze.
"Well then." Jungwoo stretched his arms above his head. "I guess you can join our group then Taeyong."
"No." I replied immediately.
He widened his eyes and looked at me. "What?"
"I said no." I stood up and walked behind him to place my hands on his shoulders.
"You humiliated me all those months and you expect me to willingly walk next to you as your friend?"
"Tell your friends the truth about what happened between us, and then I'll consider being your friend." I finished and squeezed lightly before sitting back down.
The room was deadly silent, silent enough to hear a pin drop. I smirked down at my desk, proud of how well I'd handled the situation.
Jungwoo coughed. "Fine."
He gestured to his friends so that they were huddled in a group within hearing distance of his whispers. They pulled back when he'd finished speaking and turned to me.
"Sorry for not believing you Taeyong." Ten apologised first and extended a hand to me.
"Yeah sorry." Jisung mumbled. "I like your new look by the way."
Taeil nodded his head at me and Lucas looked conflicted, his head moving back and forth between Jungwoo and I.
Finally he sighed and walked over. "Welcome."
"Cheers bro." I fist bumped him and grinned at Jungwoo.
Finally, my hard work had paid off and I'd been accepted into his group.
