Saving The Griffin

Chapter 4

They searched everywhere for the Griffin but they couldn't find her.
"Where could she be?" Layla asked
"I don't know, but we need to find her to see if she's ok" Dawn answered
"What we need to do is head back to camp for the night and look for her tomorrow" Layla told Dawn
"You can, but I'm not heading back till I find her" Dawn said with an attitude
"Fine, I'm going back to camp, good luck" Layla said rolling her eyes
Layla went back to camp whole Dawn was still looking for the Griffin. Dawn heard a branch crack behind her, she thought it was the Griffin so she looked behind her, it was the man
" You and your little friend is really getting on my nerves" The man said while putting a bag over her head.
Layla got back to camp and saw the Griffin sitting there waiting for them to show up.
"Omg, we looked everywhere for you, and you where her the whole time!" Layla yelled
"Now we have to go find Dawn" Layla said with a sigh
The Griffin growled in a low pitch, picked up Layla, threw her on its back and flew to where Layla had come out of the woods. They got to where Layla left Dawn and she wasn't there, or anywhere close to there. Layla yelled for Dawn, and nobody answered, the Griffin sniffed around, found Dawn's sent, then the Griffin roared Layla looked and she followed the Griffin.

"Let me go!" Dawn yelled at the man
"No, this is the only way to lure your friend and Griffin here" the man said
"Jokes on you, I was looking for the Griffin when you captured me, and my friend went back to camp, and she knows I won't come back till I find the Griffin. Dawn said to the man
"No, jokes on you because I chased the Griffin back to your camp so the Griffin is back at camp, probably with your friend, and their looking for you right now" The man said while laughing
"Your a jerk, plus why do you want the Griffin so bad anyway?" Dawn asked
"I want the Griffin because it gave me this scare" he said while pointing at his eye. "And I want kill it, but you and your little friend keep getting in my way" the man said angrily
Dawn rolled her eyes and said "it probably scratched you for a reason, maybe because you were trying to kill it, so if that is true you made the first move and it was just trying to protect itself!" Dawn yelled
"I will get that Griffin one way or another" the guy said walking away
"Wait!" She yelled stopping the man "what's your name, I promise it'll just be between me and you"
"You don't remember me?" He asked
"No" Dawn answered
"My name is Matt, and yes I am your dad." He answered
Dawns dad left when she was 7, and she was shocked, and happy that she got to see her dad again, she has been looking for him for the longest time, without her mom knowing, and now she had found him.
"Let me go I won't run away, because I've been trying to find you and I want to get to know you." Dawn said quickly
So he let her go, and when she was cut free she hugged him and said "I missed you dad, and I'm glad I found you.
"I missed you too sweety" Matt said back
