Dawn and Matt where at the table eating when Dawn asked "why did you leave me and mom?"
"I left because the work I was doing was too dangerous for you and your mom, so I left to keep you guys safe" Matt answered
"What where you doing?" Dawn asked
Matt stopped eating and said "walk with me, I'll show you"
Dawn put her fork down and followed him to the attic. She was so shocked at what she saw. "What is all this?"
"What do you think it is?" He asked
"I think its dangerous mythical creature heads" Dawn said with a shocked voice
"It is" he said "see here is a rex head, a patchy head, and a whole lot more I can tell you if u wanna know"
"Why did you do this to innocent creatures?" She asked
"I did this because they are dangerous creatures that should have died thousand years ago, and now the Griffin needs to die" he answered
"Yeah well they didn't and they should have the right to live not be killed, especially the Griffin"
"You'll see what I'm saying when that Griffin turns on you and your friend"
"No I won't because it won't turn on us!" Dawn screamed walking away
"Where are you going?" Matt asked
"Back to camp, where my friends are!" Dawn yelled
"Friends? I thought it was just you and that girl" He said confused
"And the griffin, and if i see you get near the griffin, I will kill you" She said angrily and walked out.
Dawn was walking back to camp when she heard a noise, she stopped and looked behind her.
"Who's there?" She asked with her heart pounding out of her chest
There was no answer
"Show yourself" she said with her heart pounding harder
She looked down to see a shadow, in the moonlight, moving towards her. Her heart was beating faster and faster until she saw what the figure was.
"Calm down its just me" Layla said
"God you gave me heart attack" Dawn said with a big sigh
"Come on get on, we need to get some sleep" Layla said

The next morning when Layla and Dawn woke up they walked outside to see the Griffin sitting outside asleep. It was rolled up in a little ball.
"I figured out a name for her" Layla said
"What's her name then?" Dawn asked
"Hope" Layla answered
"I like it, but why That?" Dawn asked
"Because I hope we can take her hope so she doesn't have to here alone in the danger" Layla answered
"I love it" Dawn said
