I wanted to run, truly I did, but I couldn't move.

My feet stayed planted to the ground below me.

Not only was I still in pure shock, but I now had to stand idly by as two men, whom are complete strangers to me, fight over my affection, or rather, my very life.

My eyes were glued to the fuming stranger that stood at the door of the bar, the sweat gleaming on his forehead, his eyes looked tired but were filled with a rage that was impossible to tame.

However, that anger wasn't directed towards me, but the other man who stood only a few inches away from me.

They seemed to just be having a long-ass staring contest, I wasn't surprised that they weren't exchanging or mouthing any words to each other in the loud, overly crowded bar.

My heart raced with anticipation and adrenaline, I wanted to see what would happen, but at the same time, I dreaded it.

I'm a sucker for watching fights, but not really fond of getting into them myself.

Squeezing the wood of the seat, I watched the man at the doorway, waiting for him to actually do something.

That's when he finally blinked.

Get outside, the voice commanded.

His tone was desperate, almost begging which added a bit of a human quality to it, but it was a deadly whisper, I had a feeling he was restraining himself from yelling.

I glanced over to the man next to me, he was squinting and his fists were clenched, he wouldn't dare look at me.

The other man was getting closer, pushing his way through the sea of swaying, drunk people.

I didn't budge.

Get outside, NOW! The voice repeated, practically screaming in my head.

Now, there was a sense of absolute urgency.

I was completely taken aback when I was forcefully shoved off the chair, leaving me on the floor, breathless.

My head came in contact with the wooden floor as I shut my eyes, darkness soon engulfing me, leaving me alone with my thoughts.

Help... me, my thoughts cried.

I felt alone and confused.

He was no longer there, his voice had seemingly disappeared from my memory.

Gathering all my courage, I slowly opened my eyes to see...

Darkness.

Along with this, I soon realized I was in a place I didn't, and couldn't recognize.

"W-Where am I?" I croaked, my voice was noticeably dry and weak.

The room was pitch black, the only source of light was the outside world shining through the cracked window.

I groaned, my side felt sore, it was probably from that fall.

As I rubbed my now exposed side, I jumped when I felt a cold hand take my hand away and replace it with a wet, warm cloth.

Now, I was awake,

My heartbeat started to rise, and my frustration only grew.

"Where am I?! Tell me! I demand an answer, now! You no good, son of a b—" I yelled, soon getting cut off by a nearby lamp being turned on, blinding me for a few seconds.
