Jakes POV

Jake pride an eye open, quickly recoiling and shutting it due to the brightness flooding his senses. He stayed like that for a few moments, listening to Rich's steady heartbeat. He was on the verge of sleep when he heard quiet, light sobs emitting from the small boy on top of him.

He hugged Rich's body into his own in a motherly manner. "You ok?" The shorter boy didn't get to nod before his body racked with violent sobs. Jake sat up quickly, wrapping his arms over the entirety of Rich's body. "I- I don't want to go back home."

"It's fine. Shh, we don't. We don't have to." Jake had never seen his friend as vulnerable as he'd been the past 2 days. "We can go to my house."

Jake felt the tension leave the boys shoulders, allowing him to melt into the embrace. This is really going past no-homo boundaries. He shoved it off, letting the other rest his head on his shoulder.

Later

Jake had begrudgingly let Rich go back into the passenger seat, and stared blankly into the road as he drove to his house. Rich however was completely flushed, his face completely red at the previous events that morning.

The taller boy adjusted the mirror in the car, which gave allowed him to see the flushing, grinning boy. Jake felt his heart swell at the sight, his own blush creeping onto his cheeks.

He eagerly sped into his parking lot, wasting to time to swing the car door open and rush to the front door. Rich scoffed, following after him, noticeably slower.

Jake smirked at him and glanced at his legs. "Yeth, I get it. I'm thort. Thankth for the reminder." He swatted his arm playfully, Jake snickered in response, racing up to his room. Not before calling out 'you're short' of course.
