Rich sat against the wall, scrolling through his phone as Jake laid down in his bed, a bored expression on his face. He groaned while rolling off the mattress, promptly landing on the smaller boys lap.

"Hey."

"Hey."

"Hey."

"Hey."

The two fell silent for a minute, before bursting into laughter at seemingly nothing. Jake sat up, smiling with determination. "Let's do something."

Rich pocketed his phone, looking up expectantly at his friend. "Let's.. let's go to Walmart!" The jock scooped up his keys from his desk, swinging them around his index finger.

Timeskip

Jake shoved the double doors open, earning him one or two glares from elders passing by. Rich followed suit, speed walking in order to keep up with the other. Jake pulled out a shopping cart, placing Rich inside.

He jogged with the cart for a few seconds, before jumping on and gliding through the aisles.

He swerved the cart right, which resulted in them almost colliding with an elderly woman, who looked to be in her mid 50s. Snarling at them, she scolded "Watch where you're going, and tell your boyfriend to start actually walking ."

She whispered the word boyfriend, as if she were ashamed for them. Rich waved his hands dismissively, evidently flushed.

"We're not dati-"

"There's nothing wrong with that."

He gaped wide eyed at his friend, who glared daggers at the woman. She sneered, "I beg your pardon?"

"Then beg."

He casually maneuvered around her, stopping to hand a bottle of aloe Vera to Rich.

He continued their trip as if that didn't happen, but Rich couldn't ignore the butterflies in his chest. "-ich? Rich!" He snapped his fingers in front of the shorter boys face, admittedly making him jump.

"What? Oh. No, we don't need anything elth." Jake looked at him worriedly, brushing a strand of hair behind his ear. "Rich, that's not what I asked. You can talk to me."

Rich felt his face redden at how close Jakes face was to his. "I have to gay- I mean go. To the bathroom." He slid out of the cart, catching himself before he landed face first and scurrying off to the bathroom.

Jake smiled a bit to himself, quickly dialing Michaels number. Receiving an answer after two ring. "Heeeello?"

"Michael I think he likes me!"

There was a pause on the other end followed by slow clapping.

"Took you long enough, dumbass."

Jake mumbled a quick 'fuck you' before racing off to the bathroom.

Meanwhile.

Tears and muffled shouts escaped the shorter boy as a large hand was placed over his mouth. He felt his back hit the tile wall, his arms being held over his head as he felt his knees buckle.

The mans face contorted into a smirk as he tugged at the end of Rich's shirt. He pleading 'no's' and 'please's' under his breath, frantically trying to bring his arms down.

"Hey, Rich are you-"

He stopped, his face paling as he witnessed the scene before him. "What the fu-" he was cut off when the figure swiftly jogged away, knocking Jake down in the process.

He curled his fists into balls, about to chase after him but pausing when he realized what was in front of him.

He helped him to his feet, a hand around his waist for support. "You okay- no never mind, that's a stupid question." Rich chuckled but there was no humor in it, it was completely devoid of emotion. "He tried to-"

"Shh, I know, I know-"

He tried to laugh but it quickly dissolved into violent sobbing as he burrowed his face into his hands.

Jake knelt down and took the shaking hand as if it could shatter at any moment, placing a lingering kiss on a bruise forming near his wrist.

"You're okay now."

oOH that was uncomfortable to write. That was the first thing I ever wrote that tackled sexual assault so I'm sorry.

Also sorry that my chapters are really fluffy and don't go anywhere.

I edited this again to make it seem less rushed.

edit numero dos: I rewrote a part of this that was bothering.
