"IS everything okay? Settle na ba lahat?" I asked my secretary. He put a lot of white folders on my desk.

"Yes Ma'am, ayan na po lahat ng documents na kailangan nyo sa presentation. Good luck po"

Napangiti na lamang ako.

"Thank you, Carlito"

Nakita ko kung paano umasim ang mukha nya pagka banggit ko ng totoong pangalan nya.

"Just call me Cari, Ma'am. Parang awa nyo na"

I just laugh. "All right. I gotta go now"

Kinuha ko ang mga documents at saka dinala sa conference room. I breath heavily. I admit, I've done a lot of presentation before. But this is different. I don't know why I'm nervous as fck.

"Good morning gentleman" I greeted them as I enter the room. This faces is all new to me. I haven't seen nor meet them before. All of them were holding tons of money on their hands.

Inilapag ko ang aking dalang documents sa mesa. I'm in front, of course. Maya maya lang rin ay pumasok na si Cari dala ang laptop ko. I commanded him to connect it to the projector so I can start already.

"So before we start. I wanna introduce my self. I'm Sinty Amelia Dawson. Daughter of late Sandra and Andres Dawson. Granddaughter of Winona Alegra. I'm pleased to meet you all"

It took me straight fcking one hour to present my company. And I thank them for being so attentive, they didn't even bother to speak or ask at all.

"Okay so I'm done with my presentation today. You can throw me questions that you want me to elaborate further"

Mr. Stravinsky cleared his throat. He took off his glasses then he stared straightly into my eyes. He's kinda intimidating.

"Your presentation is excellent, Miss Dawson" he looked at his fellow gentleman. It seems like they were talking using their eyes. He cleared his throat before shifting his attention to me again.

"You're really impressive. I've heard a lot of rumors about your intelligence and how you handled your company. And I think those rumors are true. I'm impressed. All of my doubts about your capability were gone. We will invest to you. Hope we did a right decision"

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag. I smiled at them genuinely.

"Don't worry. You and your investment are in a good hands"

Pinamigay na ni Cari ang mga documents na kailangan nilang pirmahan para ma finalize na ang investment nila sa company. They signed it quickly.

Tumayo na silang lahat.

"Thank you for your time and trust, gentlemen"

Isa-isa ko silang nilapitan at saka nakipag kamay.

"Don't thank us. Thank him"

After that they left the room. Leaving me a big question mark on my head. Hindi pa ako matatauhan kung hindi ako kakalabitin ni Cari para sabihing lumabas narin kami.

A month ago she nearly had a heart attack because of being so hard working even though she didn't have to. Me and Sandro were taking care of our business so she doesn't have to worry but my lola is so hardheaded. I think sakanya ako nagmana.

"Yes, yes. No need to worry about. Bantay sarado rin ako ng pinsan mo dito. Wala talaga akong kawala sa inyong dalawa"

Napatawa nalang ako.

"Speaking of Sandro. Where is he Mamita?"

Its been week since I last saw my cousin. He's been so busy with the company, or busy with someone. Hmm..

"Ay Ewan ko nga jan sa pinsan mo. Aalis ng maaga tapos uuwi ng gabing gabi na. Abalang abala ata sa kumpanya"

"Sa kumpanya ba talaga?" I joked.

My Mamita chuckled. "I don't know. Let him flirt. Hindi na sya bumabata. He needs to find someone to take care of him. How about you? Kumusta kayo ni Ink? Kailan ang kasal?"

The smile on my face slowly fading. I became tense.

"Ahm" I laugh awkwardly "We haven't talked about that matter, Mamita"

"What? Apo, you are not getting any younger! You should get wed. And Ink is a good man. I know, I can feel it that he will be a responsible husband to you"

Silence filled us. I don't know what to reply.

"Ah, Mamita. I have to go na. Napagod rin kasi ako sa meeting kanina. Mag rest na po ako. Bye"

I closed the laptop and forcely shut my eyes.

"Fck!"

Because of what my Mamita said. Gumulo na naman ang utak ko. I don't know what to think anymore. Para maka takas sa problema ay napag pasyahan kong mag punta sa bar. Just to unwind.

"Hey. Give me some light drink" utos ko sa bartender. I don't want to get drunk. Baka madisgrasya pa ako.

"Here it is ma'am" He smiled, I smile back. I took a sip on the drink and look at the people who were wasted, dancing on the middle of the dance floor.

My eyes keeps roaming around the area until it landed on a person who I knew and haven't seen for years.

Our eyes met but it just lasted for a second because he broke it. And I don't know what's gotten into me, nag lapag lang ako ng bayad sa counter at saka dire-diretsong lumabas.

I thought I'm fine. I thought I'm okay. I thought I moved on. But I'm not.
