I sat next to Sona and Hunter at the table in the conference room. Danny was busy explaining something that was on the screen, while Hunter made faces at Katie.
"You guys should have that facial expressions chat later," Sona says in her Indian accent, and I can't help but smile.Just like her name, she was a dear fella.A smile was always plastered on her face, and according to me,if ever she was arrested for being kind,then there would be more than enough evidence to convict her.She was a big time geek,I sometimes thought she had an extra chromosome for intelligence somewhere in her system.
"Ok,so we have chosen the hotel we'll be staying in in Florida," Danny says.
"Great.Now about the time machine-" Katie began.
"Hold up,hold up.A time machine?" My eyes almost pop out of their sockets.
"Yeah,a time machine. We realized that we'll need to...go back in time," Cliff smiles at me.He was a tall and masculine guy with beautiful dark hair that hang above his shoulders,
beautiful eyes and a perfect chest and abdomen that left girls gawking at him.What I loved most about him though was the fact that he was my best friend.
"Wow,interesting."
"Sona will be in charge of that, with McAnjay's help.Cliff,Maddie you take the technical system and data analysis. All classified information should be filed and taken to the Alpha,by Eva.Gwen," he looks at me.
I stare at his smiley face questioningly."If you could help us with the cloning? "
Shut.Up!!!The what now?My mouth falls open.
"Er...cloning? Why you need a clone?"
"Coz we need someone to go back in time,unless you wanna volunteer. It wouldn't be such a loss," Jason says.
"But, if you so much need to find out about the former FMI leader you can just do some research. Cloning and time machine are such an exaggeration, and it's more expensive," I argue.
"It's not just about the FMI,there's more to it.If you don't think it's too much then-"
"Ok,don't get so worked up over it.I'll help." Cloning!! "Who are we cloning?"
"You."
Ok,now you gotta be kidding me.
"You're sick in the head Jason. You've lost it," I say as I shake my head.There was no way I was doing this.
"It's not so much work,all you have to do is make a gizmo like you do for science projects then we can use it to make another you.Or anything you can think of." He continues.
"Please Gwen,this is important for our pack-"Katie states.
" Pack?What,are you animals or something!"
"Er...what I meant...is that-"
"It's important to help revenge against the murderers of my dad," Jason gets up and walks out.
"Please-"
"Ok,I'll do it." I say and they all smile at me.
"This will be so much fun," Sona claps gleefully.

I arrived home beaten.All I wanted was sleep."Oh,you're home,"Lesley says.
"I sure am," I throw down my backpack and pour myself a glass of water.
"You look tired.And what's this?" she rubs her finger over a bruise on my cheek.
"Oh...it's... I...I had a little accident in the Chemistry lab," I lie."It was...a beaker.It broke."You're pathetic Gwen.I didn't even know where that injury came from. "I won't be coming down for dinner mom.I have lots of assignments.
" Ok,I'll have the butler bring you your food."I nod and walk up to my room.
"Hello,Gwen Brooklyn. You have Calculus,Earth Science and History assignments," Tecna reminds me.I mute all notifications on my phone before throwing myself on the bed and falling asleep,assignments forgotten.
"Brook.Hey,Brook!" someone shakes me awake .It took so much effort to not slap the daylights out of the mortal,whoever it is."Get up Gwen."
Just fuck off!"
"It's 4a.m,,do your assignments and be ready by seven," Frankie says.
"Yeah...seven...Oh damn!!School!" I jolt up and bury my face in my palms.
"Much more like it.You don't have an after school job or anything yet you come home late and beat."
"Twinkle twinkle little snitch,mind your business nosy bitch," I sing as I pish her out of my room.
"Hey,don't you send me away woman-"
"See you in two hours for a jog,baby sis." I shut the door behind her.
