Lucy POV
"Cam, hows your girlfriend?" He chuckled,
"Lucy, you know damn well I dumped her months ago,"
"Why? She was pretty and slim." He raised an eyebrow.
"Lucy, what are you trying to say?"
"That I'm not."
"Who says you have to be," He grinned, "your amazing just the way you are." My heart skipped a beat but for some reason I wanted to hear this from somebody else.
"Thinking about that Natsu guy?" I snapped out of my thoughts.
"Of course not,"
He just laughed and started to go upstairs when somebody knocked on the door.
"I'll get it!" I walked to the door, "who is it—"
The door busted open.
"Lucy!" I know that voice
"What the fuck are you doing here?!" Cam quickly grabbed me and pulled me behind him.
"Lucy, you wouldn't listen to me and now you have a whole brand new boyfriend?!"
"He's not my boyfriend! But he's better than you will ever be," I added and watched Cam grin.
"Lisanna was drunk and I helped her out! That was it. I told her to get off me and all that but she was drunk!"
He looked me in the eyes as he said this.
Cam turned around and whispered in Lucy's ear, "Lucy, I'll forever love you. I'll always be here if you need me, but I can tell that this guy loves you."
I stood there dumbstruck. "Thank you,"
I followed Natsu out the door and it was a silent ride.
Once we got in his house he threw a file at me.
I opened it to see pictures of me and Cam.
"This was nothing Natsu I swear,"
"Was it? Was it really?"
He pinned me against the wall and asked me again.
"Yes, it was. I tried to get over you but I couldn't, I couldn't get over you."
"What about him being better than me..?"
"He treated me like nobody else mattered and he—" I stopped I was about to tell him what Cam told me but I didn't.
"Is that all?" I nodded, "you know I would never cheat on you, right?"
I blushed and looked away, "I don't know why I jumped to conclusions. But you have to promise me, that no matter what you'll wait for me?"
He grinned, "Wait for what? Food?"
I facepalmed and he leaned in and kissed me.
"Just playing."
