Promise

Lucy POV

"Natsu where at you-" I got my answer when he walked in the room, with nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist. I watched him my lips slightly parted and eyes wide. I blushed.

"Oh hey Lucy," And absentmindedly went back to looking for something. "Have you seen my shirt?"

I didn't answer and slowly pointed towards a black and red shirt. He grinned "Thanks!" He made his way to it but stopped. "Like what you see?"

"N-no! Shut—shut up!" He came closer to me, his face now inches from mine.

"Are you sure?" His voice was husky. I bit my lip. "Don't bite your pretty lips,"

I obeyed and stopped. He kissed me. His lips were so soft. I kissed back and wrapped my arms around his neck. We kissed for a few more minutes before he backed away. I pouted. But then he started to kiss my neck. I let out a small moan but regretted it.

What is he doing?

"Natsu...stop it..." I said, my breath unstable.

He quickly backed away, "Er—I'm sorry. I got carried away.." he avoided my gaze. "I promise it'll never happen again.."

I felt my heart drop. "It's fine," There was a silence. "I'm sorry..."

His eyes widened, "Why are you-"

But I looked away and said, "you should get some clothes on, your acting like Gray."

"EH?!" And I began to laugh.

"Hey Levy, if your boyfriend was to let's say—start to go a little father than kissing, and your not ready. So you told him to stop and he did so. And apologized and said he got to carried away. You said it was fine—"

"Lucy? I'm assuming this happened to you—"

I told her about what happened today. "And well..I don't know Levy, I feel like I'm disappointing him.."

Levy smiled, "Oh Lucy your so clueless. He's not disappointed, he wants to make sure your okay with it before he does anything. You should be happy that he respects you. When your ready, tell him. But for now, keep things the way they are."

I smiled. "Thanks Levy." Just then Natsu and Gajeel walked over to us.

"Ready to order shrimp?" Gajeel grinned.

Levy blushed, "I told you not to call me that!"

"Can I take your order handsome~" The waitress cooed to Natsu. I frowned.

"The biggest steak ya' got!" He said.

"I can you give you something better," I swear I heard her whisper. I frowned at her.

"I think a steak will be fine, right Natsu?" I said, glaring at the waitress.

"Yep!" He grinned at me. I blushed.

The waitress took the rest of our orders and left.

"I have to go to the restroom." After using the bathroom I went to wash my hands.

"So, are you that hot guy's girl?" The same waitress asked.

"Yeah, what's it to you?" I said fiercely.

"Yikes, he could do better,"

Fists clenched I turned around to face her. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Well I assume that you guys haven't done anything yet, I'm just saying I could give him the pleasure he needs."

I slapped her, "Shut the hell up! What the hell would you know?"

She held her face and spat at me. "A lot more than you blondie'!" She punched me. I balled my fist and began to punch her back endlessly. She swung but missed and I pushed her now onto the ground.

"Lucy what the—"Levy burst into the bath room. She grabbed the waitress by her hair. "The fuck you think you doing bitch?!" Leaving the waitress on the ground beaten and battered, we walked out. "Lucy your lip is bleeding!"

I just smiled. "It's fine, thanks for helping me back there."

"It's fine, I'm your best friend." I told her about what the waitress said as we walked back. "Whatever, she's just a slut."

"Lucy what's wrong with your lip?!" Natsu and Gajeel rushed towards us. We walked outside.

"I got into a fight with that waitress." I said, Levy nodded.

"I came in and they were fighting. I jumped in." Levy added.

"Shrimp? You fought?!" Gajeel said in awe. "That's my girl." Levy blushed and Gajeel grinned.

"Why what happend?" Natsu asked.

"She was saying things that I didn't like.." I mumbled.

"Well we'll see you guys later, good job bunny girl!" Gajeel and Levy began to walk away.

"So wanna tell me what she said now?" Natsu asked. I told him everything.

"And...She was prettier than me, curvy. I think I was so mad because what she said was true. I'm so stupid. I know you want to do that but I'm just not ready."

Natsu didn't say anything for a moment. He simply grabbed my hand and we walked home. Once we got inside he spoke, "Lucy Heartfilia, you are the prettiest girl I've ever met. The only girl that can make me happy is you, so stop downing yourself. I understand that your not ready and I don't want to force you. I would never do that. Everything that waitress said was straight bullshit. Your not stupid. I love you and only you. I won't let you forget that." He said it almost angrily.
I love this man so much.
I felt my heart flutter, "Natsu..I love you so fucking much."

"Promise me you'll never down yourself again." He said in barely a whisper.

I felt the tears start to pour down my face.

He's the one Lucy.

I'm ready.

As long as it's with him.

I'll tell him tomorrow.

He wrapped his arms around my stomach and began to snore. I laughed silently.

"I promise."
