The Fallen Star

The sun was red,
With a fiery gleen.
At sunset,
A girl was seen.
She seemed to glow,
With a pleasant sheen.

And then, she disappeared.

I never saw her again,
Until that night.
A few years hence,
Below the light.
She seemed too dull,
No longer so bright.

And then, she shattered.

I scurried for the pieces,
She seemed too far.
I put her back up,
But her scars did mar.
I saw her beautiful self,
Falling like a star.

And then, she whispered.

"Goodbye"

It's been a while. I'll put more poems out here, as people actually seem to like them.
