"Right girls. It's the big game today." We all huddled around Coach Fern, buzzing for the game that awaited.
"Let's do this, guys!" Lauren yelled, earning a chorus of cheers.
Walking out the the field, the blue feathers clouded my thoughts. No ideas had sprung to mind of what they belonged to. Not one idea.
I'd never been so confused.
"Ready to get your butt kicked, Holman?".
Only one person would ever say that.
"Hello Naomi." I sighed.
"We're gonna beat you." The captain of the Townsend Tigers sneered.
"You wish, Fredrick." I smirked. She huffed in disapproval.
The three things Naomi hated are : losing, me, and her last name.
"Naomi! Get over here!" A girl yelled. Jazmine, I think. She worked at the local McDonalds, I'm pretty sure of it.
I looked out to the crowd, taking in all the people. People stood out, like the ones with signs, that kid with bright green hair (he kinda creeped me out), and parents who treated every match like their children's first school play.
Everyone got into position, awaiting the whistle to start the game.
It blew.
I ran.
The game was going great. We were winning 3-0. Who's getting their butt kicked now, Naomi!
The ball was now in my possession.
Yet, I was distracted.
My focus wasn't on the ball ; it was on a boy on the sideline.
A genuine smile set on his face, crinkling the skin around his eyes.
His eyes were chocolate in colour, yet sugar in sweetness
He was beautiful.
My brain would not let my eyes move from him, and I'm glad it didn't.
The longer I looked, the clearer the faint outline of feathery wings behind his back became.

Do you have any piercings? I have two in each earlobe, and now on in my right helix. I'm planning on getting one or two more of the ones I had today, and another set in my lobes :3
