William's POV

I was doing some research on American History thus my teacher had requested an essay about the American Revolution, and that was killing me, in all the possible ways.

I was so tired of searching for Marquis de LaFayette and the way that he was useful for the consolidation of the American Army, that I decided to go shopping, even though we had people at home that can do that better than me.

So, I walked downstairs, shouting for Samuel, who appeared fastly running in my direction.

— Mister Willian, what do you need? — he asked calmly, though he was breathing harshly due to the running that he had done.

— Calm down, Samuel. — I joked, laughing — Can you drive me to the nearest supermarket?

The man looked at me with frowned eyebrows he was silently judging me, trying to detect a hint of joking in my voice.

— I can ask Mathilda for that you don't have to do it. — he said confusedly.

— Sorry? — I answered roughly — Are you implying that I can't do a little bit of shopping?

— I-I-I'm not, sir. — he stuttered and grabbed the car keys.

— So, shall we go? — I said pointing at the door and he nodded.

I was walking across the sweets' corridor, looking for some chocolate, although I knew that Jasmin would hit me for eating it when I collided with someone, making the products that were in the person' hands, going to the floor.

I crouch myself, to pick them up, as the person in front of me spoke:

— A few days ago we were in this same situation. — I recognized that voice as the voice of the "phone boy" as I had called him while telling my sister what had happened at the park.

I looked up facing the human being that was standing in front of me, facing Jack, the boy that almost broke my phone, and I laughed loudly.

— Jack? — I asked still laughing.

— Hello, park boy! — he answered with a smile on his face.

As sudden as I remembered that I had hadn't presented myself to Jack, I almost slap myself hard in the face.

— My name's William Arkwright! I'm sorry for not having presented myself at the park. — I apologized fastly putting out my hand. He took it and we shook them.

— I'm Jack Johnson, but you know that already! — he replied and I nodded.

After that, John said goodbye and I resumed my shopping. Then, when I had everything that I was needing, I walked towards the cashier and paid, leaving the supermarket after that.

I was talking to Samuel, who insisted on apologizing once more when I heard someone shouting for me.

I turned around to see Jack standing right behind me. He was scratching his neck and he seemed somehow nervous.

— Do you need something, Jack? — I asked calmly.

He approached slowly looking suspiciously at Samuel, who was studying him cautiously.

— Samuel, you are dismissed. You can go home. Tell my sister that I'm with a friend. — I said smiling at the man. He nodded, looking one last time at the boy that was near me and entered the car.

Jack and I were walking around the same park where we met each other. The sun was slowly disappearing in the horizon when he spoke, after a moment of silence:

— The girl that shouted for you on the other day, was she your... — he hesitated — Girlfriend? — he questioned nervously.

Was he asking me if my own sister was my girlfriend? Okay, we weren't that far from her. Our similarities are visible even from that distance. On the other hand, I and Jasmine are not into incestuous relationships, we're nobles but we aren't the Habsburgs.

— She's my sister! We're twins and I'm not into girls at all, Jack! — I answered — It's sick that you thought that Jasmin and I could have something. That would be very awkward. — I laughed.

— I'm sorry, William. — he said with a tone of red on his cheeks.

We kept walking around without any other questions. However, something stayed inside my mind: "Why was he so worried about my relationship with Jasmine? Why did he look so relieved?".
