~~~~~~~~~~Mitch's POV~~~~~~~~~~
It was one week until school starts up again. I had gotten used to being in my werewolf form at the house but didn't like showing it in public. Sitting in my room, I heard Mum call me downstairs. "What is it now?" I muttered to myself. Ever since we banished those spirits, Mum and Dad had been back to normal. Sadly, that meant that they wanted to actually act like parents. I shuffled my feet downstairs to find Mum waiting in the kitchen.
"I thought I asked you to help cook dinner tonight!" Mum said tapping her foot on the ground.
"Sorry, Mum. Do you still need help?" I asked with a sigh.
"No, dinner is done now. Just come and eat." She turned toward the dining room. I sighed again and followed her. This had been going on ever since we got back from the resort. I would do something, and then Mum or Dad yells at me. I had literally just gotten back into the house a few minutes before. I was a few blocks away when I got her text about helping with dinner. She knew this but decided to start cooking anyways. I don't know what to do any more. Luna has been getting along great with our parents and I didn't want to ruin it for her. Instead, I just kept my anger and sadness to myself. Things were supposed to be different now. Now I'm just verbally abused. Gods be damned I can never win.
I quietly got my dinner and ate it. I excused myself and went back to my room. I finished taking off my shoes and went to bed. Six days until another shitty school.
~~~~~~~~~~In the Morning~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up around three am. I haven't been getting much sleep recently. I got up and went to take a shower. I can't fall asleep after I've woken up, so I've been only getting a few hours to no hours of sleep for the past few months. After my shower, I got dressed and put my bandana on. I wrote a note telling everyone I was heading out. I quietly opened the door and walked to the end of the driveway. I picked a random direction and started walking.
I breathed in the cold, fall air. It was still kinda dark out and no one was out. I walked until the sun came out before resting. I took out my phone as it rang. Mum. I sighed and answered the call. "Hello?"
"Why did you leave so early? Please come home right now. And don't make me call you again." She said.
"Alright, Mum. It'll take me a while though. So don't wait if you're planning on breakfast." I responded. "See ya..." She gave a quick bye and hung up.
I couldn't even be mad at them is the sad thing. It's honestly not their fault. I grew up being able to do whatever I wanted and now rules are trying to be placed into my life. It's just not how I grew up, so it's hard to change. I wish I could be better at adapting to this change, but I can't. It's just not who I am, and I'm not willing to change my entire personality just because there is a change in my life.
I sighed and turned back in the direction of 'home.' It was around six am so it would be another two hours until I got back. I was going to be in some serious shit when I got back.
~~~~~~~~~~Alex's POV (Still at the Resort)~~~~~~~~~~
I gathered everything that I brought with me and put it in my suitcase. We would be leaving tomorrow, and Mom told us all to get our stuff ready to go. The summer seemed to last an eternity without Mitch and his sister around. Things were rather boring. I had sent a few messages to Mitch and all we had is a small conversation about the weather! The weather! We hadn't talked since. Derek and Nik had said that they had had similar conversations while Christia and the Twins had full out conversations with Luna. I knew something was up with Mitch, and I was worried. I brought my stuff downstairs and played games with the guys.
"What class did you guys get?" Derek asked.
"Class 3-4, you?" Nik responded.
"Same," Derek answered.
"I haven't looked yet, but I assume the same," I said. "Are you guys ready for the school trip?" During the second week of every school year, the entire school goes on a camping trip in the middle of nowhere.
"I'm hyped for it!" Nik said. "We should totally room with Mitch in the cabins."
"I'd be cool with that," Derek said.
"We just gotta find him, and then hope he doesn't reject the offer," I added.
"That's true. But I'm pretty sure that we wouldn't give him much of a choice anyway." Derek laughed.
Nik laughed too. "You're probably right about that. But I hope he's alright. Something seemed off about him before he left."
"I noticed that too," I said. "But when I asked him about it, he pushed the question off."
"I can never get anything from him anymore now that his mental barrier thing in always up," Derek said. "It kinda gets annoying."
We talked about random things for the rest of the day while playing video games. There were six days until school started. I wonder what the year would hold for us this time.
Welcome back to my shitty stories! I hope you enjoy this story like you apparently enjoyed the last one. I love writing, so I hope you like the content. I know that this story isn't that good compared to other stories, but I hope you liked it anyways. See ya later!
