Home Again

Another week passed in the blink of an eye. I had thought Mum and Dada would have realized what they've been doing to me. Especially Mum. Sadly, even though Mum had given me that letter, she had continued to boss and verbally abuse me without knowing. I continued going to school and making excuse as to why I didn't go home as often as I should. I didn't tell anyone about how I felt, even though the guys suspected that something was going on. On my own, I looked into my newfound powers. They kept getting more and more evident and I had to find a way to suppress them before I burned down a building.

Sitting in my dark room, I summoned the Gods and Goddesses. "Can any of you help me?" I asked. I had caught the school on fire today and was terrified of touching anything.

"Yes, but only if you are willing to accept the gift." Mother Earth said. I shook my head.

"I- I ca-can't. I'm going to hurt someone one of these days." I said. I clenched my hands and shoved them into my pocket. "Please..." I could see the sympathy in their faces. My trash bin caught fire nearby and I yelled out a curse. I dumped out the few papers in there and stomped them out.

"It's in your emotions." Sister Sea said.

"Enough, Sea." Mother Earth warned.

"Mother, he needs help. You and Father are torturing him by not helping." Sister Sea said. Brother Wind nodded his agreement. "Mitchell, you need to calm your emotions. Once you figure that out, be warned that your other powers will start to show through as well. Be careful with this knowledge."

"Thanks..." I whispered. All I had to do now is control my emotions. No problem. Right?

I hated life.

"We can talk again on Sunday, or when you feel it necessary." Father Sun said. He and the others slowly disappeared and then I heard the banging at the door.

"Mitchell! Open the door! MITCHELL!" I heard Mum's voice coming through the door.

I threw on my headphones and quickly opened the door. "I'm so sorry, Mum. I was listening to music while cleaning." I lied.

"Oh..." She looked confused. "I heard you yelling so I came to check on you."

I laughed nervously. "Don't worry, Mum. I'm fine."

"Alright, sweetheart." She walked away and I closed the door.

The next day I drove me and Luna to school and walked to my class. Mr Robin was sitting behind his desk and didn't notice me come in. I took my seat at my desk. I pulled out my laptop. I tried searching for things on the dark web to find anything on my situation with my new powers. Surprisingly, there was a ton of websites and I also found a global group chat on the subject.

"Casting Without Speaking. Sounds legit." I mumbled. I opened it up and typed out, 'Can anyone tell me anything about this whole casting without speaking? Sounds interesting.'

I got an immediate reply. 'Why do you want to know? You sound like a stupid nerd bugging things that don't need to be bothered by nonbelievers.' The user name was LeaderxxPissOff.

'Idiot.' I typed. 'I wouldn't ask if I was a nonbeliever.'

'Who are you calling an idiot? You don't even have a username.' LeaderxxPissOff sent.

'If you're not going to help, then piss off.' I replied.

'You seem like a nice person and all, but get a life. You don't need to know about this shit.' LeaderxxPissOff said.

Another person logged on and typed out their message in Elemental. 'Victor, June needs some help. I can take care of the loser here.'

'So your name is Victor? Nice. Who is this June that needs help?' I typed. There was a pause between messages.
