Chapter 29- Yes and maybe

Bill arrived the building but just watched what was going on from the vantage of his car as he waited for Kunbi to arrive. He needed a serious man to man time and the crisis in his life was the absolute sign for that need.

It was early morning and the sun was just rising in its horizon. Bill busied himself with his phone, looking at the different WhatsApp status until he got to Tracey's status. His finger paused over her profile and he took a deep breath before opening it. It was a picture of Tracey and Kemi on the Christmas party he was not invited to. Well he wasn't expecting to be invited as he was never close to Kemi and her family unlike Kunbi who was practically family with Kemi. He looked at the picture until it switched to the next one which was just a picture of Tracey alone in a dashing green ankara native gown which she wore with sliver heels. She was laughing when the picture was captured and well, it captured his heart. He missed Tracey! Bill was still staring at the picture when Kunbi knocked on his window and jerked him out of his reverie.

"Shit man! You scared the hell out of me." Bill said immediately he wound down the glass.

"Good! It's nice to see you too." Kunbi hung his gym bag on his shoulder and started walking towards the entrance before he stopped and turned. "Are you coming or what?"

Bill shook his head as he got out of the car and caught up with Kunbi.

"Kilode? What is doing this one now?" Bill asked.

"Tess is killing me man I swear!"

Bill laughed out loud as they entered into the gym and headed to the locker room.

"Tess is still in the picture? I thought you were done with her since Kemi returned.

"I was." Kunbi groaned as he pulled off his T-shirt revealing a black singlet. "She managed to get pregnant."

Bill paused and looked at his friend stupidly before he busted out in laughter. "You knocked her up?" Kunbi glared at Bill before he walked out of the locker room into the gym to start a routine. He started with light warm ups.

"Kay! What part of my life story didn't you understand? Guy! you were there with me throughout the nasty shit with Angela and Nicole, how did this happens Guy! You fall hand o."

"I am always cautious man! I no even know wetin take happen. The witch just come tie me down. Mumsi and Popsi talk say make I marry am."

"Wow!"

Kunbi laid down on the bench and started carrying weights while Bill stood at Kunbi's head to help him with the weight. Kunbi had done a twenty and had not dropped the weight until Bill grabbed it from his hand.

"The weight wouldn't change anything man trust me."

Kunbi placed the weight back on its ledge with the help of Bill before he sat up and buried his face in his palms breathing hard. "I want her to abort it Bill."

"Are you really considering that?" Bill said with evident surprise in his voice. "It's your choice man but I think it is a bad idea."

"With the baby in the picture I can't be with Kemi don't you get it? I lost her before I can't lose her again. "

Bill saw how much pain his friend was in and wished he could help elevate it but aborting the baby? Maybe he would have bought the idea if he didn't have Nicole. Yes she was a product of a bad relationship but she was the best thing that had happened to him. He could understand where his friend was coming from but a baby was a baby.

"I know you love Kemi, you always have, maybe always will. But this is a baby. Your baby!"

"What do I do man? I am so confused."
