chapter three | long way away

Lisa slowly opens her eyes, squinting them when having light half blind her as they turn into shimmers, she could tell she had a clothe over her face. Turning her head to the side, the black clothe falls over and Lisa finds herself laid on the wood ground, her hands tied behind her back and groaning from the cramp she felt.

She kicks forward with one leg and sits up, she figures that she was put in the back of a truck, though it was unmoving, and sunshine came through the curtains that probably gave access to the outside.

But the female knew that she probably wouldn't be able to simply escape like that, she was about to crawl toward the mouth of the truck but instead, sat herself back down abruptly when having someone show up.

The same young man from earlier, who grabbed her by the neck and having quickly black out, pulls away the curtains. For a moment, the sun that came from the outside blinded her strongly, she couldn't even see the male, only by his silhouette.

"Grab her." Was the only thing he says. For a moment, Lisa furrowed her brows until seeing two silhouettes coming into the truck and they drag her out, holding her tightly by the forearms.

She had no idea of where she was — obviously, and the girl can only think of how this is her end. She can't run away anymore. It's done.

Her feet try to stop them from dragging her, but she is lowered in their grasp to the point she can't walk, nor try to have them come to a halt. Looking up, she sees a worn out factory building, they go inside and a chair is placed in the middle.

Harshly, they throw her onto the chair, a grunt leaves her, especially due to her ankle, to which thankfully, they still hadn't noticed. Her hands are now tied to the chair, she didn't struggle, Lisa knew it would be of no use whatsoever, and making it seem that she had given up.

"I hope you had a nice rest." The boy's voice was heard, Lisa already assumed he was the main person in the group — the leader. "From now, it can be tough for a princess such as yourself," He chuckles, mocking her.

His underlings step away from her, and the maroon haired male is walking around Lisa, eyes taking in her every feature, she kept her chin lifted up despite her fears that buzz loudly against her ears, only for her to be aware of them.

"It's been how many years now since I haven't seen you?" He stops right in front of her, crouching down in her eyes. Lisa tried not to flinch, his eyes were just as deadly as before, she questions herself how she's not dead despite such stares. "Three years, I believe, if not more."

"Do you remember who I am?" Hesitantly, Lisa shook her head. "Of course you don't, my family was merely working for your own — I was a servant boy, if you will."

Lisa can only tighten her lips into a line. "The Lee Family — do you remember them?" Of course she does, he might say they were simply a family working for them, but she knew they were a huge source for her family. Lisa remembers she was close to the family only daughter, Mijoo.

"Lee Mark," he smirks, hands stretching out to support himself against her chair, but at the same time, making sure it wouldn't fall back. His face so dangerously up close to Lisa's, that it was clear on how much he disliked her as the mocking on her very being was clear. "but I used to be called Minhyung if you will."

Lisa has her eyes widen. Minhyung. From the boy with deadly aura in front of her, who stares into her soul, mentally torturing it, she remembers the young boy who would be running around the manner in the group of young boys of other families. She remembers him.
