snape's harassment and bullying
snape bullied neville endlessly without any reason. like, at all. he had absolutely no reason to bully neville. there isn't a single canon reason to justify snape's treatment to neville.
some snape apologizers love to say it's because if neville was the chosen one lily wouldn't have died. i wish those people could hear themselves so they know they sound ridikkulus.
let me put it that way: snape apologizers say that, because neville didn't die, the bullying he suffered in the hands of snape was acceptable, because, had neville died, lily would be alive, and that's all that matters to snape.
i know there's no actual guarantee that neville would die, but there's also no guarantee that he would have survived. because the circumstances around lily and james' death were unique, and we have no way of knowing the same would happen to the longbottoms.
neville would never ever be able to love snape
