Chapter 16

Mitch sat on the couch, talking to Scott over the phone.

"I should be back before 9:00 tonight." Scott said.

"Alright. I love you baby."

"I love you too Mitchie. Bye."

"Bye." Mitch hung up and moved so that he was laying down. His stomach growled. "Come on, I just got comfortable." Mitch muttered. He stood up and walked into the kitchen.

He opened the refrigerator to find it almost completely empty. He was supposed to go grocery shopping with Kirstie the day he head to go to the hospital.

Freaking babies. He thought. And as if they heard him the babies kicked right after he said that. "Ow. Dang, I'm just kidding." He said rubbing his swollen belly.

"Kirstie!" He yelled waking back into the living room. She opened her door poking her head out.

"Yes Mitchell?" Mitch rolled his eyes.

"Don't call me that. Anyway, we need food." He said pulling his shoes on. Kirstie came completely out of her room.

"Woah, wait. You're not going anywhere."

Mitch raised his eyebrow at her. "And why not?"

"You heard the doctor. No unnecessary movement. So you stay here while i go to the store." She said. Mitch pouted.

"If I stay in here one more day I will go crazy. Do you want to be the first one on my kill list?" Kirstie shook her head quickly. "Ok then. I'm coming too."

At the store

"You are very stubborn." Kirstie said as they walked down the isles. Mitch had one had on his stomach and his $4,000 bag in the other. Sure he got some weird looks, but who doesn't show off a cute, yet very expensive, purse at Walmart?

"We've known each other for what? Ten years now? You should already know this about me." Mitch said with a shrug.

"Um, excuse me?" A small voice came from next to Mitch. He looked down to see a seven year old girl pulling on his pant leg. He smiled and knelt down in front of her.

"Yes sweetie?"

"Are you Mitch Grassi?" She asked shyly.

"Yes I am." Mitch nodded. The girl went into fan mode. She started jumping up and down excitedly.

"Oh my gosh, yay! Can I please get a picture with you?" She asked.

"Of course." The little girl pulled a iphone, yes, an iphone out of her pocket. She took a picture and squealed with excitement.

"I can't believe I met you! You're my favorite out of everyone in pentatonix!"

Kirstie cleared her throat. " What am I, chopped liver?" The little girl giggled and hugged Kirstie's leg.

"No, you are my second favorite." Kirstie smiled.

"Jealous much?" Mitch said playfully. Kirstie rolled her eyes and the little girl went back to Mitch. "What's your name sweetheart?" He asked her.

"Sierra." He smiled at her.

"Well Sierra, it was nice meeting you." Sierra squealed and wrapped her arms around Mitch's neck, nearly choking him.

"Mommy!" She screamed, running off. "I met Mitch! Mommy I met Mitch!"

Mitch chuckled and stood up. "You're good with kids." Kirstie said, smiling.

"Well I need to be considering I'm gonna have two in six or seven months."

Later on that night

There was a knock at the door. Mitch stood up and made his way to the door. He smiled when he saw Scott standing on the other side.

He wrapped his arms around Scott's neck and kissed him.

"I missed you." He said as they laid together in bed.

"I missed you too." Scott said, kissing his forehead. "How are the babies doing?"

"They missed their daddy so they've been kicking the crap out of me." Mitch said.

"So their good?" Scott laughed as Mitch hit his arm. Mitch cuddled into Scott's neck.

"Yes, and maybe now that you're home I'll be able to sleep." Mitch chuckled. Scott was about to say something but realized Mitch had fallen asleep.

He kissed his forehead. "Love you baby." Right as he was drifting off Scott heard Mitch's quiet reply.

"Love you too Scotty."
