Chapter 8- Not A False Alarm

Mitch laid on the couch watching spongebob when Kirstie walked in.

"Hey Mitchell." She said. Mitch rolled his eyes.

"Hello Kirstin." He countered. Kirstie smiled walked over to him. Mitch moved his hand over his belly gently pressing down in different places. "Hey Kirst, feel my stomach."

She raised her eyebrow. "Why?" She sat down in front of Mitch on the edge of the couch.

Mitch took her hand placing out on his normal looking stomach. "Woah, it's hard." Kirstie said moving her hand and pushing down softly.

"Yeah, I know."

"When did it first get hard?" She asked.

" This morning."

"Does Scott know?"

"Nope." And as if on cue Scott walked into the living room.

"Scott, come feel Mitch's stomach." Kirstie said when he came in.

"Wh-"

"Just touch it. " Mitch interrupted him. He reached down and felt.

Pressing down gently he spoke. "I think it's time for you to get an ultrasound."

"I don't wanna get up." Mitch whined, pouting. Kirstie and Scott laughed and he smiled before standing up.

"I can't believe I'm having two babies." Mitch said got the third time since the ultrasound. He was still in shock. They were back in the car driving home.

"Babe, that's the third time you've said that." Scott chuckled.

"I know but that means we're gonna have to buy twice as many things and-"

"Calm Down!" Kirstie exclaimed from the backseat. Mitch took a deep breath, letting it out slowly.

"Sorry, its just-"

"Mitch, you already not supposed to be able to carry a baby. " Scott said. "Stress is not gonna help."

"I know, I know. I- I just... I couldn't even imagine having one baby, much less two." Mitch said.

"It's amazing." Kirstie said thoughtfully. "You better get famous and paid for this."  She said, making them all laugh.

"Yeah, no." Mitch said with a small smile.
