"You doing okay back there Zi?" I asked as we were pullibg into the Giant Eagle parking lot.
"Yeah!" He said back smiling.
I got out of the car and walked over to his side to let him out. I grabbed his hand and we proceeded into the doors. I grabbed a cart and put my purse in it. I took the list out and read it.
Cake
Chips (Doritos,Lays,Pretzels,Barbeque Lays,Cheese Curls,and Sour Cream&Onion.)
Hot Dogs
Hamburger Patties
Hot Dog and Hamburger Buns
Cheese
Ketchup
Mustard
Mayonnaise
Relish
Pop
Juice
Ice
I went to get the cake first.
"What do we have to get?" He asked running beside the cart.
"Just a couple things." I said making sure not to run over his feet.
After about 20 minutes we were on our way to the check out.
"Your total is $129.58"
I pulled out my wallet and handed her $150.00.
"Your change is $20.42 have a nice day." He said smiling.
"Thanks you too."
I loaded the groceries in the trunk and put Zi in the car buckling him in. He was sleep when I pulled up at Ma's house. I took the groceries in and then came back to carry him inside.
I laid him on the other couch and grabbed Raina. She was laying there with her bink in her mouth. I walked back to the kitchen. I looked at the clock and it was 3:45pm. Family members started pouring in. Of course everyone wanted to hold Raina but I made sure everyone washed their hands first.
"Oh my gosh she looks just like Rashad." His Aunt Mary cooed.
"I know doesn't she." I said smiling.
Raina started fussing a little and his Aunt Mary passed her back to me.
"I don't do crying babies." she said laughing.
"What's the matter with mommy's baby?" I said in a little baby voice walking back to the livingroom.
I checked her diaper and she was wet. I grabbed another diaper and her whipes and changed her.
"Jay Jay I'm hungry." Zi said rubbing his eyes walking over to me.
"The food should be done in a little bit. You want some chips and juice for now?"
He shook his head yeah and grabbed my hand as we walked back to the kitchen.
"Awe and who migt this be?" Mrs.D bent down and pinched his little cheeks.
He hid behind my legs.
"His name is Ziere." I said laughing a little.
I had no idea Zi had a shy side but it was so cute.
"Hey Ziere my name is Mrs.D" She reached her hand out for him to shake.
He shook her hand "Hi." he said lowly.
