Jordynn POV
"Raina White." The doctor said looking at a clipboard flipping through the papers.
We made our way to the back. Raina was sleep so Derrick carried her back there.
"Hey how's everything been going?" Dr.Howard said.
She was the only Doctor me and Raina both seen. I just felt more comfortable with her.
"Good." I said taking Raina from Derrick.
"Oh I'm sorry. I'm Dr.Howard, nice to meet you." She said extending her hand for him to shake.
"I'm Derrick, nice to meet you too."He said shaking her hand.
"Okay well let's get started. Raina is do for 2 shots today." she said looking over her papers.
Raina woke up and reached for Derrick.
"Could you take her shoes off and have her step on the scale?"
Derrick took her shoes off and placed her on the scale.
"Okay she weighs 23 lbs." She said writing it down.
She checked her ears and a number of other things.
"Okay I'll be right back and then we could give her the shots and send you on your way." She said exiting the room.
"When we leave here Imma drop ya'll off at home. I have a couple things I need to do." Derrick said looking at his phone.
This shit pisses me off. It just seems like we barely see him anymore. I know he got to get this money so we could be taken care of but damn it's like he be forgetting about us.
I just sighed.
"What's wrong now?" He said sounding aggitated.
"Nothing, nothing at all." I said rolling my eyes.
"Man I guess." He said leaving the room.
"I'll be in the car." He slammed the door on his way out.
"Mommy where dada go?" Raina said climbing in my lap.
"To the car." I said kissing her for head rubbing her head.
"Okay you ready?" Dr.Howard said getting tge shots ready.
"Yeah." I said dryly.
Raina is about to cut a fool.
When Dr.Howard turned around and she seen the needle she started crying. She was moving and squirming. I grabbed her leg and held it still so she could give her the shots. I swear my baby got some lungs on her man. She screaming like someone trying to kill her.
"Okay one more." She said sticking her leg.
She gave her two pink band aids. I slid her pants back on and put her shoes on her.
"Here is the paper letting you know when to schedule her next appointment and to let you know what shots she'll need next. And I'll see you guys next time."
I took the paper from her and left the room making my way to the car. I put Raina in her seat putting her bink in her mouth. I got in and slammed the door.
Derrick POV
Man Jordynn and her attitudes really be pissing me off. I swear one minute it's like we're good and then the next minute we ain't. I know I promised to quit but I'm just married to this lifestyle and she just don't understand.
"Don't slam my door." I said pulling on to the main road.
"FUCK YOU!" she said looking out the window.
"Are you really acting like this? It's not that serious."
"NOT THAT SERIOUS? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW? DERRICK YOU SAID YOU WAS GOING TO QUIT. I'M TRYING TO HANG IN HERE BUT GOD DAMN I CAN ONLY HANG FOR SO LONG. DO YOU KEEP FORGETTING YOU HAVE A FAMILY? HUH? WHAT THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO TELL TGE KIDS IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO YOU? I'M SO TIRED OF THIS BULLSHIT. IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE YOU WON'T BE COMING HOME TO US. I CAN'T DO THIS AGAIN. I ALREADY LOST SOMEONE I LOVE TO THIS SHIT AND I DON'T WANT TO LOSE ANOTHER!" She screamed wiping the tears from her eyes.
By now Raina was screaming in the backseat crying.
"Okay." Was all I said.
I'm not arguing with her in front of Raina.This can wait until we get home.
20 Minutes Later
Jordynn POV
Fuck Derrick. All he has to say is okay? He really pissed me off. I'm staying at Leah's tonight until he can decide what is important to him. These streets or his family. I might be a biych for making him chose but I have a damn good reason.
We pulled in the driveway and I got out slamming his door again and going in the house. He can get Raina. I went to our room kicking my shoes off and laying in the bed.
I heard the front door shut.
Derrick POV
I laid Raina on the couch and went upstairs to our room. I opened the door. She looked at me and rolled her eyes continuing to watch tv. I turned it off and looked at her.
"Look I Kno-"
"No don't keep givimg me these bullshit ass lies and excuses. I heard enough of them Derrick. I just can't keep doing this. I refuse to put myself in these positions. It's either us or the streets? You can't have both." She said staring at me.
I sighed. "Why do you do this? You knew exactly what you were getting yourself into with me. Everything is fine when shit is going your way. You think everything revolves around Jordynn. Without me you wouldn't be sitting here living fucking large,rocking trues,having shopping sprees,or not having to work or pay a fucking bill. The streets is all I know. So if you're going to leave like everyone else in my life did go head. I've made it this far with out them and I damn sure don't need you."
Jordynn POV
Did he really just say that shit to me? After all I did for this bitch. I really just feel like smacking the shit out of him.
"FIRST OF ALL I AIN'T ASK YOU FOR SHIT WHEN I MET YOU DERRICK. YOU'RE THE ONE WHO ASKED ME TO MOVE IN THIS BITCH. YOU THINK I'M IN THIS SHIT FOR THE MONEY? YOU CAN HAVE ALL THIS SHIT I DON'T NEED IT. I DON'T NEED YOUR FUCKING MONEY. I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WOULD SAY SOME SHIT LIKE THAT. FUCK ALL THOSE SHOPPING SPREES,TRUE,JORDANS,AND JEWLERY. YOU CAN HAVE ALL THIS SHIT BACK." I said going through the drawers throwing everything he bought me at him. I threw the jewlery and the shoes also. This nigga think I need him? Shit I was living fine before with out him.
Derrick POV
Damn I didn't mean it like that. I fucked up.
"Baby I didn-"
"I'm staying at my brothers for a while. I can't do this. I'll get Zi from Leah's. You can get him when you're done doing what you have to do or he can stay. Just call and let me know what you're gonna do. As far as us goes we're done. Atleast now I know what is important to you." And with that she left the bedroom. I heard the front door shut. I looked out the window as she backed out the driveway.
Damn I really just lost my family.
