Chapter Eight- Park~Park Paradise

"MY DOOR!!!"

"Did you guys know there's a water park on this island!?"

"HOW DID YOU GET INTO OUR HOUSE!?"

"Not important! What's important is that there's a water park here and we haven't gone to it yet!"

"GET OUT!"

"Fine, fine, but clear the entirety of tomorrow, because we're going to the water park whether you like it or not!"

Zane sighs as Travis and Katelyn, who had just broken down the door and burst into the room, run away, giggling and fooling around.

"I swear, when those two are together, they're crazy," he mumbles.

"I agree with you." You gesture to the TV. "Now come on! I want to see if Pinkie Cake can get all these pies made on time!"

"Of course she can, she's Pinkie Cake," smirks Zane, obviously completely confident in her abilities.

"Just because she's your favourite horsie doesn't mean that she can do anything! Now come on!"

You grab the remote and press play, resuming where you left off. When the episode is over (Spoiler alert: She makes all the pies!), you yawn and crawl off of Zane's bed, stretching at the same time.

"We can't just stay inside and watch My Little Horsies all day, what should we do?" You ask.

"Why not? Sounds like the perfect day to me." Shrugs Zane, pushing a button on the remote and starting the next episode.

"Hey! I wanna watch too!" You shove him out of the way and jump back on the bed, watching as Buttershy and Rainbow Flash have a conversation together.

"You remind me of Buttershy." Says Zane. "Sorta quiet, but loving at the same time."

"And you remind me of Pinkie Cake. A cupcake monster." You joke.

"Hey!" Zane lightly pushes your shoulder. "You're the cupcake monster!"

"Am not! Who's the one that dragged me to the cafe FOUR TIMES last week to get cupcakes, hmm?"

"A-Alright, fine," Zane huffs. "But in my defence, cupcakes are delicious. And plus, I hadn't seen you in a week because of the cat incident, and I wanted to make up for it."

"Fine, fine, you win." You lean back, laying your head against what you think is the backboard of Zane's bed, but is actually his shoulder. However, before you get a chance to move it, he lays his head on top of yours, settling into comfortably to you. Your heart starts beating a mile a minute, and your face flushes red. Zane doesn't react, and instead just keeps watching the show as normal. You try to focus, but all you can concentrate on is the slow pattern of Zane's breaths.

Ohgodohgodohgodohgod. You think as Zane scoots closer to you. What the heck is happening!?

You stay completely still, unsure of what to do with yourself. However, there are suddenly loud footsteps thundering up the stairs and then Vylad pokes his head in the door. Zane throws himself off of you, face blushing under his mask.

"I hope I wasn't... interrupting anything," Vylad says with a smirk.

"W-What!? No! Of course not!" Zane stammers, pulling his mask up higher and fixing his hair so that it covers his eye nicely. "What do you want, anyway?"

"Well, big brother, did Katelyn and Travis tell you? We're going to that giant water park tomorrow, I just wanted to mention that we have to reschedule our lunch."

"Yeah, fine, whatever. Just go away. And don't call me 'big brother.'"

"Whatever you say, big bro. Have fun doing what you were doing." Vylad winks and leaves. Zane lets out a frustrated sigh.
