A few evenings later, Sweet-Pea and I are sitting on the couch watching an old comedy he'd begged me to watch, and honestly, not my thing. But it seemed to make him happy that I was trying.

"I wonder where Jug and Betty are?" I say as the dragged-on show finally ends.

"Probably off investigating a murder somewhere. What'd you think of the movie?" He asks.

"With all this hunter shit going on? I sure fucking hope not." I sigh.

"I'm sure they're fine, what did you think Logaaaan?" He asks again.

"Yeah, I know. Ugh. It's starting to get late though. Jug usually checks in I should call-"

"Logan, stop worrying so much, I'm sure they're fine." Sweet-Pea says, if only he knew WHY I was worrying, maybe then he'd understand.

"Sorry, Pea." I sigh.

"Hey, it's okay." He says, kissing the side of my head. I get off the couch and go to rummage through the fridge.

"Hey... I was wondering if I can take you somewhere?" Sweet-Pea asks, he seems cautious and a little unlike himself.

"Where? I ask.

"It's a surprise." He says.

"That sounds a lot like I'm about to get murdered." I laugh.

"Please, if I was gonna murder you I would've done it long ago." He jokes.

"Please, like you could murder me. I'd turn you into lunch before you could." I joke back.

"Hmm, being lunch doesn't sound that bad, although I think I'd rather be dessert." He says with a wink, I roll my eyes.

"You're actually not funny." I say.

"I think you'll find you're actually incorrect and I'm VERY funny." He says, we laugh.

I close the fridge and face him.

"C'mon Logan, will you come with me. I promise it's nothing sinister." He says.

"Okay, fine. As long as you let me call Jug first." I barter, Sweet-Pea nods.

"I'll meet you outside." He says, I nod and pull my phone from my back pocket and dial Jug's number, it rings, but no answer. My heart starts to race and I start to lose my breath when he finally answers on the last ring.

"Logan?" He asks, I sigh in relief.

"Jughead." I breathe.

"Are you okay?" He asks.

"Yeah, fine, just got a little stress because I hadn't hear from yo-"

"Oh, crap. Logan I'm sorry. Betty and I just finished up watching a movie I totally forgot to text you." He apologises.

"No, it's fine. I'm sorry. It's silly of me to make you-"

"It's not silly Loag. I understand." Jug says, he barely ever calls me 'Loag'. He hasn't called me it in years.

"You called me- Yeah. Okay. I'm heading out with Pea, so I might be home late, if I'm not back by morning he probably murdered me." I joke.

"I'll be waiting with my dad shoes and newspaper." He jokes back.

"Love you." I say.

"Ditto." He says and hangs up. I sigh in relief and join Sweet-Pea outside.

"He's alive?" Sweet-Pea asks, I nod and get on the bike, wrapping my arms tightly around Sweet-Pea.
