Jess POV
Leo and I walked back into the lair hand in hand. We talked the whole way back about random things but mostly about each other. A little bit after our ‘makeout session’ on the roof, Leo got a call from Donnie saying he needed to get back to the lair. He hadn’t specified why but he sounded slightly panicked, so we were walking fairly fast.
When we returned to the lair, we walked into the living room, where Mikey, Donnie and Raph were all standing near a human girl. She looked about the same age as us and had red hair and blue eyes with freckles decorating her nose and cheeks. Donnie was talking to the girl, so those 2 hadn’t noticed us come in, but Raph and Mikey sure did.
“Have fun on your little ‘date’?” Raph asked sarcastically.
“is wasn’t a date Raph, we just went up and had a conversation.” Leo replied and I giggled a little bit.
“What?” Leo asked, looking at me, he still had my hand in his.
“Oh nothing, I’ll tell you later.” I said, an amused grin found it’s way onto my face. I took my hand out of Leos and went to sit on the couch next to Mikey who was playing a video game.
“Hey Mikester! Whats up?” I asked.
“I’m almost to level 50! Soo...close!” He was totally focused on the tv and pressing buttons on the controller.
“Okay then..” Donnie and the red head finally took notice that Leo and I got back.
“Good, you’re here Jess.” Donnie said. I stood up and walked over to him and the girl.
“Donnie you didn’t tell me you were having company.” I said, and Donnie blushed, casting a glance at the girl beside him.
“Hi! I’m April!” The girl spoke up and put her hand out. She seemed very energetic, kinda. I shook her hand.
“Jess. Sorry Leo and I were late getting back, but we got a little… distracted up top” I looked back at Leo who heard what I just said, he just chuckled and went into the kitchen. I smirked and looked back at April.
“Okay, what was that supposed to mean?” Donnie said gesturing to me and Leo.
“Oh, nothing” I shrugged it off.
“Okay then, you too get to know each other, I gotta go talk to my brothers” Donnie said right before he walked off into the kitchen where Raph had literally dragged Mikey too. I’m guessing they had to talk about something important.
I sat back down on the couch and April sat next to me.
“So how long have you known the guys?” I asked
“About 7 months, they saved me from the Kraang, how about you?”
“Just over a month. They saved me from being captured and being tortured by Karai and the sick headed monstrous asshole she calls daddy”
“ouch. That would’ve been very bad if they did capture you. but, why did they want you?”
“Oh I know the feeling of the Shredder’s torture too well, I was kept prisoner and used as an experimental lab rat by the foot for 13 years before I escaped 2 years ago, They have been trying desperately to capture me back. They specifically want me for my healing, everything else the Shredder always wanted to find a way to steal it from me.”
“Steal what… exactly?”
“I’m a werewolf. So he wants to steal away my supernatural powers and either transfer them into his army, or steal them for himself.” Her eyes just went wide
“Wer..Werewolf?” She stuttered. I just nodded.
“Just so we’re clear. There is absolutely no fuzzy 4 legged dog in here” I gestured to myself and she seemed to relax. I swear I heard Misty say ‘if only you knew’ but I couldn’t be sure.
“So why’d you come here. Nobody told me we were having a visitor, otherwise I would’ve gotten back… earlier.” I suddenly blushed thinking back on the events that happened tonight. April just raised an eyebrow at me.
“I figured out i’m being spied on by the foot, and i think they're gonna send someone to capture me. This is the only place where I really am safe. Even more so than my own home.”
I nodded in understanding. Just then all the guys came into the living room. They stood in front of us, and I noticed Leo had a bit of a sympathetic expression on his face.
Uh oh…
“We all know what's happened then, right?” Donnie asked. I’m guessing he was referring to what's going on with April. All the guys nodded in response.
“Jess, April filled you in on what happened, right?”
“Ya, shes getting stalked and the foot wanna capture her for some unknown reason.” I replied
“So we need to come up with a plan to figure out a way to keep April safe while finding out while figuring out why they want her. any ideas?” Donnie said.
The guys all found a seat and started thinking.
“We need someone to stay with April at all times.” Donnie muttered.
“Someone who can go out into public.” Raph said
“Who knows how to fight.” Mikey added
“That we can trust…” Leo finished They all looked up at each other with devious smirks on their faces. Then they all turned their heads towards me and their
smirks got even bigger.
this can’t be good...
