Semlina crept her way past the knights who were standing guard. She was careful to cover her trail so that they couldn't follow her. She had gone back to her room earlier and grabbed the book that was addressed to the 17th ruler...which in this case had to be her...right? Semlina quickly ran still in her big party dress from hours before. She wanted to change when she grabbed the book but she had to run out of there before Margot found her. She had lied to Margot saying she was to stay with Alistair for a while. Alistair, of course didn't know of Semlina's plans so she hoped that Margot wouldn't go check up on her. Semlina looked behind her once more and hid behind one of the bush walls. "You were told we couldn't enter this part of the garden?" Semlina looked at two of the knights who were chatting. "Yes apparently behind this wall is something that the King doesn't want anyone creeping around." The one on the left gasped. "Head Knight told us only he and the royal family could enter but we would have to report to him whoever comes and inquiries about it." The other one mentioned. Semlina smirked and figured out her plan, the secret garden she had seen previously she could go there for some privacy. She straightened her dress and walked towards the knights. "Ahem" the knights immediately turned toward Semlina and bowed right away. "Princess, we didn't see you there...how may we assist you?" Semlina cleared her throat. "I am making my way through this part of the garden...do not lot the King or Head Knight know." They exchanged glances. "Do I need to persuade you two another way?" They looked at her confused. "...I will set you two up with girls" They perked up. "If you don't say anything." They smiled and nodded moving out of the way for Semlina. "I'll let you know when and where okay?" They nodded and grinned from ear to ear. Semlina mumbled a quick sorry to her friends. She quickly ran fast looking for something to indicate the hidden passage. Suddenly she was caught off guard by the smell of gardenias. She followed the smell. She knew that gardenia's were the King's mother's favorite flowers...so the secret garden should be covered in them. She suddenly saw a trail of gardenia's on the bush walls. She followed them and saw a door that was worn out like Asten's room. She was looking for a handle when the door slowly creaked open. She peered her head in and saw a white table with black paint smeared on the white chairs that paired with the table. She remembered her dream she had earlier of the King's mother yelling at him and his brothers about dirtying the chair. She smiled and carefully walked up to the table and brushed her fingers carefully tracing the patterns of the table's design. She looked up at the moonlight that was brightly shining in the hidden area. She saw the flowers that were adorning the walls that the Queen were admiring when the King was preparing to propose to her.

She sat down on the chair and pulled out the book to start reading the secrets hidden within. The 17th Ruler as it had stated. She assumed it was her because her father was the 16th. She slowly unwrapped the twine that bound the book and carefully opened the page. She slowly read each word carefully taking in everything that Asten had written.

"To The 17th Ruler, the Princess of Thaysa. From what I have seen from my visions you will be the first ruler of your kind, not of royal blood nor born male. Yet your future holds many difficult yet wondrous things. At first I did not see much, I had not known of your gender or even of who you were. I had just seen the vision of the kingdom at first. The differences that worked in harmony there. It had been the long wish of Javen. He wanted only the best of things for the Kingdom. I started having visions of you quite early in fact. I had them when Javen and I had first met. I thought the visions I was having were for him to make true. Little did I know that he was only a large stepping stone that would lead to you...dear Princess, know that the things I have seen don't always come true but if they do...and you are reading this in the hidden area that the King has created and where memories roam in the Hall of Heroes. Know that what I had seen will come true and you will accomplish great things. A great obstacle is soon to come upon your path...something similar occurred to Javen. He was once known as a non-magic user. But the great obstacle occurred which in the end granted him the powers he wielded ...little did we know what it entitled for him to wield those powers."
