It's been 3 years and six months since the battle. We won, but we paid a high price. We won, but the Jet Crystal Bearer was shattered. He's been practically dead for three years and six months!

I was with him when... when his heart started to fail. He nearly died in my arms.

It's been a painful 3 years and six months, watching Takashi getting weaker and weaker, barely clinging on to life. They'd fused him to an Obsidian after the doctors got the magic/poison from the lunar amulet to go dormant. He'd survived, but just barely.

I was sitting beside his bed, reading a book, one of my hands holding one of his. I wasn't really paying attention to anything, as I was to lost in my book. That was until I felt something twitch slightly. I put my book away and looked up. My eyes widened as Takashi's fingers slowly curled around mine. His body twitched again. I watched with tears of happiness as his eyes fluttered and opened. It's been years since I'd seen his golden eyes open. Takashi stared at the ceiling, looking confused, as the last memory that he had of that day his crystal had been shattered was me holding his dying body in my arms.

I reached over and gently turned his face so that he was looking right at me. He still looked confused. He probably couldn't see that well, or it was the medicine that the doctors had given him.

"Hey Kash." I whispered. "It's good to see you again."

Tears started rolling down his face, as he finally realized that he was alive.

"Hey, don't cry! I'm here!"

Takashi let out a soft moan, since he couldn't talk because of the oxygen mask strapped over his nose and mouth.

"It's okay baby. You're alive, and that's all that matters. I know you're in pain, but you're alive." I saw him smile for the first time in years. I ran my fingers through his hair.

"It's going to be okay, I'm here." I said, rubbing his head. I barely heard the weak purring coming from my fiancé, but I knew it was there. I smiled gently as his eyes began to flutter close. There was nothing scary about letting him close his eyes this time, because I knew that he'd wake up this time. I shifted Takashi into a more comfortable position so that he would be able to sleep without too much pain.

I leaned down and kissed his forehead. "Just rest baby. I'll be here for you" I murmured. "I'm so glad that you're okay. I love you so much, Kashi."
