_____________________________"Why would you say yes?!"
"Are you crazy?!"
"What if something happens to you?!."The three Genin shouted but you ignored their complaints as you briskly walked past them. Footsteps immediately following after the dark silhouette.
Their heads popped up on either side examining you silently as the group left the building. The tension becoming thicker as the seconds ticked by. After a few minutes you broke the silence.
"When would you like to leave, Kakashi?" You said soft but firm.
He took note of the change in tone as he glanced at you with his only visible eye. He stopped in the middle of the mostly empty street and as did the rest of you.
You just noticed the file in his hands as he flipped it open and scanned the pages. "There's a possibility this mission could take a week. If not more or less."
"Pack enough for a at-least that. We will leave in two hours. So eat and rest as well then we will meet at the gates." He said smoothly as he closed the file.
"Yes Sensei." The three of them nodded and walked away together. Already talking quietly between each other.
No doubt it's about this mission.
You started to walk towards your own home when when a firm grip caught your wrist and pulled you back.
"Wait."
You let out a small huff and turned to him fully, arms crossed.
"Yes?" You raised a single eyebrow at home.
"What are you doing?"
"Well, I was trying to walk home but-"
"You know what I mean, Aliyah." He said in a flat tone, clearly unamused by your sarcasm.
You narrowed your eyes at him. "It's a mission, Kakashi. I'll be fine." You told him.
Not sure who you were trying to convince. Him or yourself.
"We could have just let the AnBu handle it."
"Nobody knows how long it'll be until some of the AnBu even get back. I'm not letting more innocent people die."
"I can't believe he'd ask you to do this! It's insane!" He said exasperated.
"He wouldn't ask unless it was extremely important." You tried to reason.
"But you're his daugh-"
"I may be his daughter but I am also a Shinobi of this village. The mission comes first."
"If something goes wrong then you could die, Aliyah!" He shouted angrily as his hands curled into fists at his sides.
"If the mission is completed, then so be it." You said venomously before turning and rushing to get back to your apartment. Not even glancing back at the grey-haired ninja who watched your retreating figure.
**Small Time Skip**
After arriving home you quickly gathered anything you thought you'd need and put it into a large backpack.
After that you showered and were eating at the kitchen table when Asuma and Kurenai came in. You told them about your mission and how you may be gone more than a week. You didn't know.
They both were pissed to say the least. Especially Asuma. But you were able to calm him down and promised you'd be careful. Before leaving he gave you a small gift from his room but said not to open it unless you were in trouble.
