"What kind of plan, Kakashi?" You asked him wearily, crossing your arms across your chest similar to Sasuke.

"Don't worry about it. It's best if you don't know just yet."

Your eyes narrowed at him briefly wondering what he's come up with. But you decided to trust him on this and just nodded.

"We should be going. Stay safe for me, okay?" He gave your hands a light squeeze, the small gesture bringing you some much needed comfort.

"Okay."

You watched as your team quickly exited the kitchen. Where to, you still had no clue.

With a sigh you returned to the seat at the table to finish your breakfast. But caught the curious glance of the girl who brought you here  from the corner of your eye.

"I-" you started but immediately closed your mouth, realizing you didn't even catch her name.

"It's Charlotte, by the way." She chuckled at you, knowing exactly why you stopped talking.

A small smile crept onto your face as you looked at her. "Thank you. I'm Aliyah."

"That's a really pretty name!" Charlotte gushed.

*Small Time Skip*

The rest of breakfast went by smoothly. You and Charlotte made small talk and learned a bit about each other. She was definitely someone you could see yourself being friends with, although a bit perkier than you.

Now she was showing you around your new 'home'.

"I'll give him credit there, the place surely does look nice." You started, looking at the expensive marble and decor that seemed to go on forever.

Charlotte nodded in response. "It does. I can only dream of affording even a quarter of a place like this."

"What will happen to it when this is all over?" You asked curiously.

Surely they wouldn't just let this place rot.

"I'm not entirely sure yet. The village leaders will most likely decide."

She lead you outside into a lavish garden. Flowers of all shapes and colors bloomed in the late-morning sun beside the bench you sat on. The smell hit you like a brick but it was amazing none the less.

"I see. Can I ask you something?" You asked, glancing around the garden to make sure no one heard.

"Of course."

"If you still have village leaders... Then why haven't they, or any of you, tried to stop him yourselves?"

She bit her lip lightly, tucking the skin between teeth before her eyes closed. A small tear running down her cheek.

"Many of the villagers, even the soldiers, are too scared to go against him."

"But what if you banned together? Surely the numbers would be enough to over power him." Your brows creased in confusion.

"Like I said.. Many are too scared. They tried that once before and some how were still beaten. Some even think Lord Ashimaru holds some sort of ninja like ability."

"But no one has sensed chakra here. Not even me and I laid next to him all night."

She shrugged. It was clear she didn't know much but was very frustrated by it.

"I don't know. I only have heard of that rumor because my father told me before he passed."

A wave of guilt and sadness rushed over you again as you looked at her pain filled expression. "How did he pass?"
