Ready to Go

I finally got of the attic, trying not to think about what had just happened.

My mother walked towards. "So, what are you honing to pack, sweetie."

"Oh my gosh, I have no idea!" I ran to room. I started looking through my closet. Since we were only going to be there for four days, I pulled out my four favorite outfits, maybe I should pack a dress, just case we go out to eat at a fancy restaurant.

My mother woke me and I turned over and looked at my clock, it's four in the morning...

"Come on, honey. Today's the day!" My mother spoke softly.

My eyes widened. I couldn't believe it, it was already Tuesday! I got out of bed as quick as I could and started getting ready. I decided to just wear a plain purple tank top and jeans.

"Come on, Raven, we have to leave in two minutes if we want to pick up Beastboy and make it to our flight on time." My mother shouted to me.

I was almost ready, I just needed to quickly do my makeup.

"Raven, we need to leave now!"

I ran down stairs.

"I'm sorry mother, I just had to-"

"Cone on, get your stuff in the car, we got to go."

We pulled in front of doom petrols. My mother and I walked up to the entrance of the cave, when we heard yelling.

I could tell it was Rita voice I heard first,"Garfield, please-"

"I don't care! I'm going! It's my body, I know I'll be fine!" I could hear Beastboy shout at Rita.

My mother grabbed my arm and pulled me back into the car.

"Why'd you do that?" I asked.

"It's not polite to listen to other peoples conversation."

She was right, so I decided to just text Beastboy.

Me: We're here and pumped.

A few minutes later my phone went off.

Beastboy: Awesome, me too. Sorry, I can't decide what to wear, I'll be out in a minute.

And a few minutes later, he walked out the cave with a red plaid shirt and jeans.

I hopped in the backseat so Beastboy wouldn't be sitting alone.

"Hey, you look nice." I smiled.

"Thanks, you do too." He smiled back. "Hello, Ms. Roth." He greeted my mother.

"Hello, Beastboy." My mother smiled and greeted him back.

"Are you excised, Rae?" He smirked.

"I'm pumped."
