Chapter 10

Gauri POV

The sun was shining so brightly with pride and for the first time in my entire life I was happy it was finally morning.
I had been walking for hours in the road waiting for a car to pass by but sadly none .
I was sweating and the top I wore clunked to my body like my second skin.
I was feeling extremely hot , more like burning .
My feet were killing me but the urge to move on was much more greater . I can't afford to stop now.

Suddenly a grey sedan at the end of the road and it was coming towards me.

With a sigh relief I start to waving my hand trying to get the persons attention and luckily the car stops ahead of me and a girl get out from the sedan .

"So you need a ride?" She asks standing beside her car .

"Yeah , where your going ?"

"Mumbai" she said

"Great , can you drop me near bandra?"

She nod and said "sure , hoop in"

I smiled then look back at the forest as I go to her car and sit on the passenger seat . I cringed from the pleasure pain I get from finally sitting down after running throughout the night .

I'll probably be home in few minutes but what I will tell my parents ? I have been gone for over 2 weeks now and I'm surely can't tell them I was kidnapped by a vampire .

Suddenly I was brought back to the reality by the girl asking " so what are you doing this early morning so far?"

I look her confused and say "where are we?"

She look at me bewildered than says "you are many miles away from the outskirts of Mumbai , why didn't you know that ?" She ask .

I hurriedly came up with a lie than say "Me and my boyfriend get into a heated fight in where we are going back home after jogging in the nearby park . The fight began intense and he just push me out of the car and drove away . I have been trying to find my way back since last night"

Wow what lie Gauri

But luckily she believed it and then say "I'm so sorry , boys can be Assh0£eS sometimes" I nod knowingly .

She turned on the radio as I zoned out back to what am I going to do next . I surely can't live with them because that is the first place where he going to search and I can't put my family in danger .

Finally I decide "I'll tell my parents the truth but not all of it, I'll leave the part where the guy might be chasing me is a vampire"

I came back to reality and bring back the thoughts to the music which was playing .

One of my all time favourite song . I began to smile at the lyrics . It was such a melodies song and it will always lighten my mood .

Soon we reach a familiar street as the car came to halt .

"Thank you for the ride" i said getting out of the car .

"No problem" she said then drive off .

I smile at her kindness and began to walk down the streets . My streets , the streets I watched daily as I grew up.

I sigh and slowly walk along the street taking in every detail . The. I stopped infront of a familiar home . My house . I shakily make my way up to the steps feeling exhausted and tired but this wasn't the time to stop because I wasn't safe yet .

I opened the door to find it unlocked meaning someone is probably home .
I enter the home and hear the sweet and tied voice of my mother breaking at the end.

"Who is it?"

Tears starts to well up in my eyes "Ma" i said ...my voice were breaking at the end .

I heard a foot steps and saw my mother ugh tears stained cheeks standing in front of me .

"Gauri" she said . I nodded as she come and hug me .

"Thank god you're back" she shouted while sobbing .

"Harsh" my mum yelled calling my dad.

"What is - Gauri?" He says as while I smile feebly at him.
He comes to come and for a few minutes I forgot everything, just stay here in my parents embrance but like usual every dreams end. I took a deep breathe and get out from their grip .

"Mom dad , listens to me ; I can't stay here . He will find me and kill me . I have to get out from here , fast!" I say looking at them in the eyes .

"Beta-" my dad begins to say but I cut him off .

"Dad I don't have time , please understand I have to go . The guy is mad and I'm not going to underestimate him . You have to help me" I said looking at their tired eyes .

He gives a shaky breath then my mum is whispered "Harsh listens to her , she knows more about him than we do and getting her out of state is to help her then that's what we should do"

I smiled at her and my dad hugs me " I just don't my little girl get hurts , Don't get hurt Gauri" he said hugging me then leaves the door .

"I'm going to get a flight for tonight , out of here"he said and leaves the house .

"Mom I'm going to pack"I said rush up to the stairs to my room. I opened the door to my room and go straight to the wardrobe , take out the clothes and throws the on the bed.

Soon my bedrooms opens and my mother comes in carrying 2 empty suitcases.
She put them down and opens them putting my clothes in them after folding them neatly while put some in the other suitcase . I could tell my mother was silently breaking inside , so was I .

I had been always been my parents girl . They always pampered me a lot and leaving them behind made me like want to cry like 3 years old but I had to be strong .

Soon I was done packing and my eyes were dropping close . I was really tired because I hadn't slept since yesterday.

I grabbed the only pair of clothes which I hadn't packed and went into bathroom to take a shower . By the time I came out of the bathroom it was already 3.00pm, the sun would set soon and I have to get away from here before the sun sets .
I changed into a pair of shoulder ripped top with black shorts and black boots . I grabbed a black shoulder bag and put a water bottle in it with an extra phone which I had in my drawer , I hardly use it but now that's going to change .

I grab both of the suitcases and dragged them down on the stairs and sit on the lounge to find my mither with red eyes. She noticed me and wipes her eyes.

"You look so pale , Gauri" she says touching my cheeks , I smiled then said "mom don't worry , I'll be fine as soon I get away. He won't able to find me and won't hurt you if I'm not with you"

She nods as I tell her how Omkara looks "mom whatever you do , don't fight him , just runaway. You don't know what he's capable off"

Soon the front door opens and my dad walks in with a flight ticket on his hand .

"Here you go , beta" he said handing me over the tickets .

"Where am I going?" I ask .

"Goa,you always wanted to go there right?" My dad replies as I smile even when I'm going through shit , my father makes me feel better.

"You better get going , your flight leaves in 2 hours"
He says .

I nod as I make my way to the car after putting the luggage in it .

Both my parents dropped me off at the airport after Hugs and kisses and I watched them as they broken heartedly went back home . My dad said he would transfer the money to my bank account which I was grateful off .

I was currently sitting in the waiting lounge when I heard the announcement for my flight .

Goa , here I come .
